Basically, Im wondering if anyone knows of any gear I should pick up before I head to the bandit camp. I have done the nashkel mines, gnoll stronghold, the entire west side from candlekeep down and gotten the constitution manual and charisma manual. Killing tranzig tonight as I never did then heading out for bandit camp. After that I plan on doing the east side of the screen (mostly but not Durlags Tower yet). So, anyone know of any better gear I should grab for my people considering their classes? Thanks.

The golden girdle and (if you can afford it) the robe of the good arch-magi comes to mind. But I think you are set as it is. I tend to be around level 3-4 when I go there, but then I need to use up some potions.

Well, since Thalos is good with the bow, you could buy a Composite Long Bow +1 at Feldepost's Inn in Beregost. Though you don't nescecarily have to, since you only have one bow using character, and you'll find soon enough (Bandit Camp) a Longbow of Markmanship, which is better.

do you really like the cloak of wolf? I wanted to like it, but even though I had dyna wear it through 10 games I never used it once.Is there some kind of tactical use?

Your thief is wearing a plate mail -> no thieving skills and the boots of stealth are wasted. I would put the mithril mail on the thief and the plate on the c/r.
A bard with a leather armour isn't able to cast spells, so definetly buy the robe of archimagi for him, or better give him the mitrììhril chain (you should be able to cast spells with it).
In any case there is a nice set of armour (shadow armour) for your thief in Beregost.

I would also suggest to get the cloak of displacement for your mage, which should also use the boots of avoidance for maximum protection against missile (to not get interrupted while casting spells).

It's good for backstabbing thieves. Since the wolf is fast, you can get away from hostiles, revert back to human form, go stealthy, move back to the hostiles, backstab, etc.

Of course, boots of speed are better for this purpose :)
