mudd hunt

I have the quest, mudd hunt and it says that I need to go downtown for it. I scimed the walkthrough and it said I need to take the sewrs or cetch a cab. Do I need to wait to finish santa monica before this? Where do I get a cab? I checked the sewers and couldnt find a rout to downtown.

You can't enter downtown until you finish the major Santa Monica quest (i.e. blow up the warehouse). You can do some further investigations into the Muddy quest, at that point (i.e. look up his place of residence).

and on to Hollywood
you can't get to Hollywood to get the next part of the quest until later on either. just chill about it.
