Memories

Here's a stab at a fresh thread: Memories.
What are your favorite memories of the game? Remember the first time you saw Sarevok kill Gorion? I was freaked out! Is he going to come after me?!? I'M ONLY 1ST LEVEL!
And when you first killed Firkrag? Or the first time you fell into the Twisted Rune?
Lets relive our shockers, our suprises, and our greatest triumphs, back from the days when we all were playing these games for the first time.
My contribution has to be from ToB, though:
Recently my roommate and I played a duo, Half Orc Barbarian and Gnome Thief/Cleric. We pounded the game into ToB, and there encountered stiff opposition from Watcher's Keep. We became disgruntled, dismayed, and at last, were about to hangup Pug and Arwin.
We decided we would fight as far as Demogorgon, which neither of us had ever killed and knew would be our death. Our plan? Fight it once, die, and consider that the end of our character's careers.
So here we are. We teleport in, buff THE HECK out of ourselves (we're talkin some DBZ Super Sayian 2 power ups here), and move into tank the Demogorgon without the benefit of a mage or traps.
I wade in, whacking. The whole screen starts shaking, and behind me, almost lost amidst the tangle of demon claws and fangs, is Arwin, throwing energy blades as fast as his hasted form could afford him.
Time breaks into still frames as we pause for adjustments, my sword still rising and falling among the fell beasts, my blood falling about me unnoticed, and still above me, the energy blades come in.
Then it was done. Suddenly, and without preamble, Demogorgon falls inert. Badly hurt, I flee, Arwin with me, to the teleporters and then outside, leaving the Mariliths behind.
I jumped, my roomate down the hall jumped, and we both screamed with unexected joy. We danced together, screamed together, and then slamed some beers together, unwilling to touch the game again that night.
Pug and Arwin never died, and forged onto a bright future.

Killing off the slavers with just my Sorcerer at level 10. That was /rough/, let me tell you.

I was giddy when I finally managed it.
Another shining moment was when I completed the Viconia romance - let me tell you, that one is VERY interesting. Plus, since I was in an all evil party the character intereactions were great, like Korgan with his 'past group' stories. And all the comments by Edwin. Fun-fun, even if I had to play a right b@stard.

I must say, the combination of ending the Viconia romance and facing Irenicus. I got the final dialogue (the "I love you but I must leave or you'll get hurt") seconds before descending down to the Tree of Life...
"Viconia, I..." ... just great. I imagined the guy hitting down hard on bloody Irenicus (Heavens, I hate that guy

) with tears in his eyes, much like Cloud in FFVII when Aeris dies... and anyone who's played it knows what I mean.
Another pretty good moment was when I killed Sarevok in BG1 using a hasted, strenghtened, blessed, super-duper-Getter-energy-powered Khalid. With only a few summoned critters to keep the sod occupied he was mincemeat in 15 secs. The revenge of the losers
In fact, I was pretty displeased that in Bg2 i wasn't allowed to say to Sarevok "Pity you, you had been killed by Khalid. Get lost!"

Most memorable?
When I cast enough lower resistances and dooms on the shadow dragon to enable a polymorph other spell to be successfully cast on him.
Anyway feeling quite pleased with myself I sent my party sauntering in to finish off the wee rodent only to suddenly have the little b*stard do a wing buffet which killed four of my charcters including my lowly 10th level mage protagonist. (never under-estimate the power of flying squirrels)

*SPOILER REQUEST*
Regarding the spectator beholder -- does anyone know what happens when you encounter him the second time around in ToB if you killed him in the Underdark? Is it the usual "hey, aren't you supposed to be dead?"

Ah memories...
I have a lot of good memories from bg1,the exploration of the ruins, the arival at the friendly arm and the enormous city of baldur's gate to explore. It all brings back those cool rpg memories.
Bg2 didn''t really had that same feel to it as bg1 had but there were the romances ofcourse. As was mentioned here earlier I also was touched by the viconia romance ending in bg2.The entire bg2 ending when you talk to everyone b4 Irenicus was great.I'm still busy with tob so I don't have a lot of tob memories yet.

After equiping Minsc with Lilacor. I had gone to Nalia's keep, and Minsc critically hit one of the Otyughs, and Lilacar shouts "Put a coin in that fountain"!

Memories, eh?
Well, the numbers are limitless. It was great fun in BG1 running around with coran and imoen backstabbing everything in sight.
From BG2, in my most recent game, Aerie is going through one of "Oh my, I just feel no reason to live without my wings sob stories." Well, I told I her I loved her or something along those lines and that everything was going to be ok. The second the conversation ended Lilarcor chimes in, "You've got to be kidding." The timing was uncanny, almost planned, I was laughing so hard I had to walk away from the game.

Hmmm my best memory would be in one of the areas of BG1. This noble wanted you to kill this BIGASS mountain bear. So i stride in alone with my 12 hp mage, see the bear, run like hell. I run back to minsc, and he tries to take him on. Minsc takes one shot, misses. The bear swings once, I miss boo already. So at this point i swarm the stupid bear with everyone and the damn bear kills em all off one by one. So sooner or later my brother comes in and sees this mage just running around with a bear chasing him. He burst out laughing when i died by explosion after gathering enough courage to face the bear

My party consisted of Anjur (Stalker), Minsc, Jaheira, Viconia and Imoen.
Facing Firkraag, I buff with everything I got, then prepared for a major fight.
I started off with multiple lower resistance casted by Imoen, followed by multiple Dooms by every other member of the party (2 Rangers, a Cleric, and a Fighter/Druid)
When I was just about to melee, I had Imoen cast a chromatic orb.
Poof! Dead Red Dragon from a level 1 spell.
My party just stared at the corpse, all buffed up and no one to fight.

best memory other then the spectator is runnin ginto the temple of bhaal and gettign saverok to come to you, then while everyone one else is busy handling the goons, I myself start to duke it out with my brother, and swing after swing he weakens and finally leans down on his sword then tumbles to the ground in defeat such a rush of joy and all that good stuff rushed over me with that victory
