Funniest/Easiest victory that was supposed to be hard

Whats the funniest or easiest kill you ever got off of a guy that was supposed to be difficult?share it with everyone!

Mine was when I was facing the Saldrex dragon in watchers keep. I was winning but jaheira was getting womped on, so I took Aerie and cased polymorph other on the dragon and it worked! saldrex was immediatly turned into a squirrel, and aerie easily wacked it. I still got all of the items, off of a kill that made me fall off my computer chair laughing at that scene

That makes a strong dragon weaker than a 7 year old with a sling shot

First attempt against Firkraag I hit him with Feeblemind, must've got lucky coz it worked and we mashed him at leisure.

When I placed 4-5 spiketraps around Demogrogon and he died without me even aiming an arrow at him. Until then, I never realised those things were so horribly overpowered.

Actually very similar to yours Berethor

My wild mage cast magic missile at the shadow dragon, and a wild surge later the Shade Lord had a pet squirrel. :D

Easiest, battle with archer and sling of everad (sp) and greater whirlwind... nothing can withstand this... have to laugh to myself…

The first time I started to Focus on the big D. in Watchers keep, instead of his pet mariliths, I was surprised to see him go down within 2 rounds. The previous 3 or 4 reloads I was scared of the level draining marilith and thought I should take them down first.

Well, after being greeted by this when I solo'd through the Unseeing Eye quest (Ghoul Lord area):

I thought "ah crap I'm so screwed..." but protection spells and azuredge meant I didnt even need any healing. :)

Heh,just wanted to make a post like this one yesterday...

Anyway.i had a funny combat once.I was using the tactic mod,so don`t worry if this seems a bit strange.Tactics really make the game hader, really harder.Actualy,if you know the mod, then you need blood of a mother of the hive

So there i was, with my companions, seeking out the wretched Evil eye in the Beholder caves. The caverns were filled with disqusting, icky slime, remembering red cheese that has been left on the stove to melt.finally we found the Hive Mother side by side with ugly, horrbile and,the worst of all, extremely strong Evil eyes. With their eyes filt up with hatred agains me and my companions...Is the strenght of a godchild enough to beat such monstrosities?

Yeah,i`ll cut the descriptions from here, don`t want to bore you too much...I tried to kill them,i really tried very hard.It took me about 20 minutes or so.Got really fed up by them. Then i finally had a new idea.I cast magic turning(or something that reflects magic back to them.I got there, waited a little, and nothing happened. Then i saw that a regular beholder was hit by its own confusion. So i retreated back to my fellow team members. When i looked at the action bar i saw that the little beholer had actually killed both the hive mother and the evil, eyes!It seemed so funny to me at that time, that i actualy laughed at really strong voice...

Oh well, might not seem so funny to you,but it certainly seemed to me.

Well, In a similar vein, the first (and Only) time I bought Balduran's Shield. "hey look! 3 Gauths and I am only level 8." Then jsut stand there, do nothing, few seconds later, I thought expending no hit points or spells to get 27000 xp was a bit too easy.

Another from me

yesterday I was fighting the guys in the sewers(which i won for the first time! :D ) and I was using jorhils dagger with keldorn. i wacked the spellcaster after i used a invisible potion, and confused him. he was so stupid that he casted discentegrate, finger of death etc on all of his friends and by the time he was done with them he was casting fireball on himself

yeah, i know it sounds impossible but jeez, i laughed my ass off

Heres a easy win

I was facing the elemental lich, and i was not winnin and not losin. then i used jorhils dagger and hit him and confused him, and then he casted gate without casting prot from evil. i got all my guys to run away and the pit fiend took the lich down to near death and it was no more than one wack from saerelith to kill it.

The barman in MaeVar's Guildhall who, when I finally came back to take out the Guild, died instantly when I walked in the door.

Admittedly, not the highest level enemy in the game  but an easy win.

SPOILERS

The Slayer end boss, it took me all of 3 minutes... apparently he has a very strong aversion to one mage casting ruby ray of reversal every chance she gets and another hitting him with 12 total magic missile spells (spell trigger, sequencer, etc. and a wand) :) .

I was facing off with irene at the tree of life with one char, an uber-berserker armed with the cloak of mirroring. I beat him without landing one hit, that's right i just sat there and let him cast away.He managed to maze me about 5 times then he worked his way down to cone of cold.each one did about 35 -70 damage, none to me ,but reflected back to him .after 5 of them he was history.I had a good laugh when the dialogue said "YOU killed me!" I thought, "No stupid, YOU killed you!"

One of my more memorable moments was soloing with a Bounty Hunter, as soon as I left the dungeon I went to the gate's district to fight the lich.

So what I did was place one special snare and one normal trap at the door with the intent to disrupt the lich's spell casting (no cheese bombing for me thanks). So I entered his room and ran back out immediately and he followed, to my dismay as soon as he entered the trapped room his stoneskin fired up before my traps went off.

Figuring this tactic wouldn't work I decided I'd have to figure out a new one and in the pause the lich Symbol Stunned my character, then interestingly the lich started taking damage while I was stunned.

I watched completely inable to do anything as the lich kept taking damage in the form of what seemed like poison damage (undead are immune to poison) until he kicked the bucket.

So I waited until the stun spell wore off and loaded, since I didn't get experience from killing the lich. I still fail to understand how my Special Snare hit the lich through stoneskin and magic protection and even more so how it was possible the lich got poisoned. (bounty traps and normal can do poison damage I know)

Funniest/Easiest

I am finishing chapter 5 on my first run through so I haven't seen some of the encounters mentioned, but a lot of good ones. My funniest one was against Lassal in the first trip through that part the tombs. He had retreated to the backside of the "bleeding" room. I walked Anomen alone around the south edge of the room (I discovered the room traps won't go off on the very edge of that side, but you have to literally hug that wall as you go around). I had "turn undead" activated when he went in. When Lassal came into view he started speaking, making all these threats, saying how superior they are, blah, blah. But when he finished his conversation his little status circle changed from light blue to red and BAM he instantly explodes into a dozen pieces. Almost fell off my chair laughing. The easiest that should have been hard was the Shadow Dragon, I prepped the area with a couple of cloudkills from a wand, went in and everyone fired some type of missle weapon in the first round AND HIT, next round my Paladin went melee and got a 30+ hit point critical hit and Minsc followed with another good swat with his 2 handed sword that put him down. I was shocked, no one was hurt in the slightest. Guess I was extremely lucky on that one.

Beholders

I still love watching Jaheria run into a beholders lair and just standing there and doing nothing while they kill themselves. It lasts about all of 15 seconds. I use the Shield of Balduran.

Kangaxx

It took me exactly one spell: Searing light (lvl 3 priest spell). Kangaxx didn't even have time to buff himself, let alone imprison anyone. He was just-- gone. And I was seriously asking myself if I should reload just to see if I can beat him without that nifty spell, but decided in the end that I was too chicken :D

Take care!

luv & hugs
