does ANYONE know where to find any good mods or pathes for the game, many places where i don't have to subscribe to something(as in pay money,if however there are please post them.)

My might want to read the sticky threads at the top of the forum. There are links to the latest offical patch. The latest unoffical patch can be found in this thread:

As for mods,
http://vheaven.vpaine.com/ had some interesting mods, but the site seem to be down or has moved, maybe someone knows their new URL.
