ive killed everyhing in the caves shambler hooks etc. didnt get the item from shambler. however the dwarf wont let me say ive cleared the caves. i have a hooked horror inthe wall by entrance to where jellies were etc. it this a bug? or can i kill it? and if i can how do i? appreciate advice thanks

Have you tried leaving the area and then going back? (e.g. going back out side the river caves through the way you came in). That might free it when you get back.
