I read somewhere that I can buy shops. How can I buy them? And my search button on the forum page is not working so I'm sorry if this thread has been discussed before.

The only way to buy shops is to kill the owner, which is annoying if you're trying to be completely good. You'll get a message saying the building is for sale and a sign will pop up outside.
The same goes for the taverns and houses (other than the marital house which is vacant anyway).

There is a good way to own shops. Talk to the owner and make them follow you (they will if you are good and renowned) and then lead them off the map. Then tell them to wait and return to the map. After that, the shop is available and will have a new shopkeep in about 3 days.

I told the owner to follow me and I killed him in Lookout Point so as not to have trouble with the guards. Well, I bought the shop. By the time I bought it I'll have incoming money or I have to rent it?

You have to rent it.
