Now that the BG series in the forgotten realms is over...sob...sob. What is your favourite single class NPC mage in the Bg series

Xzar
Xan
Dynaheir etc

xan and xcar were kinda weak, dynaheir was ok, but id have to say edwin had most potential

Xan, Xzar, and Edwin have the best soundsets...
Edwin is obviously the best mage ever, but his inability to comprehend the "Identify" spell kind of holds him back...
I think Xan had the funniest dialogues of anyone "We're all doomed...", "What-ever...", "If you want..." Oh god just thinking of his voice makes me laugh... and the dialogue when you meet him or kick him out of the party...

I do happen to have Xan's sound set created for BG2 I also created Xzar, Tiax, and Saemon Havarian's sound sets.

I'd have to say Edwin and Dynaheir.
Xan made me ill. But that's just me, by all means please don't thing I'm critcizing anyone's choice, I'd just have rather had Garrick than Xan -- which should be a clear indicator of what I think of him!
Identify is nice, as is Detect Invisibility and True Seeing, not to mention Wizard Eye, but...others can do True Seeing, and Edwin /can/ learn Glitterdust, which aside from revealing invisible folks also could blind the enemy.
Edwin is just too cool, sadly, I tend to play good parties...so he can't always be there. Also, he has some of the /best/ dialog... 'Edwin do this, Edwin do that, someone get this simian a banana...'
Dynaheir was fun for the sheer damage dealing she was capable of, and she was rather pleasant too. Friendly, and all that, so long as rep was high.

he's the best great spells, and a whole lot of them too
ad hee's funny, him changing into Edwina was the funniest thing i ever seen in a game
only thing is that he is evil but i always have him in any party.
Now i started a new game with only my ( a female Fighter/Thief) and Edwin.
i Just want to see if that will work.
Any comments about a 2 Party Game????

Dynaheir... very good mage and not a big fat antisocial ego like Edwin. Edwin can't use indentify-srolls!!
