I´ve begun a BG1 game with a solo Druid to go through ToB. I´m at lvl 4 and I have 0 lore. Any hint?

My only quess would be that you don`t have enough intelligence to even have lore.Don`t know the exact number though.

You get -10 lore for having 7, 8 or 9 int, and -20 for int lower than 7. I might be off by 1 point.

That´s it Rav.
I have 18 Wis, which should give a bonus of +10, but I didn´t know Int 3 would give a -20 Penalty
So that means that only at lvl 11 will I have 1?

Frankly, I wouldn't worry. Lore isn't that good for classes that only gain 1 lore point per level. Thieves and Wizards can identify the odd weapon, but only bards can do it reliably.

The price for identifing an item isn't that much anyway, but If you really want the lore just get bard party member (Try Beregost).

At the beginning of the game, I often take in Garrick and let him level up a bit. Then, I leave him at the Nashkel carnival (though Beregost would be better, since that's more central), and when I travel thru again, I let him take a look at all by fine blue items. Even though he's level 3 or 4, his lore status is already very high (in comparison with your other party members), so he'll know most of the standard magical items. Then later on when you meet Elroth and you don't want to take him in your party, wait as long as possible with talking to him. Like perhaps, wait with his quest untill your have explored Baldur's Gate a bit. The longer you wait, the higher his level and lore status will be, which will save you quite some money.

For instance, when you finally get your hands on the boots of speed you'll have to travel all the way to Beregost or the Friendly Arm Inn to get them identified. I'm not that patient.
