Hey people,
Hope someone can give me a hand, here's my problem:
When I startup the game (bloodlines) it goes to a black screen immediately, I can hear the sounds of the leader movies and at the end the background tune of the menu, but the screen stays blank.
I played the game a few monthes back but didn't finish, in the mean time I bought a new grafics card, its a fresh install and I've installed the patch.
The new vid card is a nVidia 6800gt with the latest 77.77 drivers.

Does anyone have a solution....please, I really liked the game and want to finish it....

If it's just the movies ... I just press ESC to skip them. Maybe that'll help for you too. Otherwise, I'd first try renaming or removing the movies (the .bik files in the Vampire\media subfolder of the game installation folder).

The movie player used by VtMB is the Bink player from RAD game tools, you could try downloading their standalone player and replacing the binkw32.dll that came with the game with a (likely) newer version from RAD.

Do make a backup of every file you remove or replace.

I am actually having the same exact problem, which is very annoying because I'm pretty excited to give this game a try. I tried everything I can think of to overcome this problem but have failed. So any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
