If you load your game in the middle of the trial, you'll break the trial. You'll need to go back to an earlier save.

Well, you could always hope and pray that the 1.4 patch fixes the problem, but otherwise it sounds like you're going to have to start over.

Not really recommended practice!! I normally have 10 to 15 on the go, for DL I am using all of the save game slots "just in case" due to the reported problems with the game

I'm also stuck in the ninth trial. I didn't save my game or anything like that, but I can't seem to live through the battle. I don't know how my of these archers, knights and elders will keep materializing...how many do I have to kill? Does anyone know how many? Is there a good place to fight other than just running around and trying to score kills? I know about trying to stand on one of the circles before each wave, but I can't stay there too long...HELP!

My settings are on easy and less.
I'm at level 10 with 60 strength and 50 for everything else.
I am playing with no penalties. t

Is there a way to kill whatever is throwing the flames down from above? I've tried reviving my character after I die, but I lose ALL of the bonus points...it's just not an option for me. Is this quest necessary? Can I skip it? I really don't want to go back to a previous saved game, but I can't get out of here!

Please help if possible.

You can't skip the trial but if you have a save before you entered the trial then you can come back to it later. If you have a save before the trial then go and get your second tier classes filled if possible and get 2 'ward of fire' and maybe 1 or 2 'divine intervention'. The 'ward of fire' is a huge help and add 2 'divine intervention' and it's a walkthrough.
I'm not sure how many waves of spawns there are but about 3 or 4 is my guess. There is no practical way to kill the guy hurling fire balls. Running around in a circle is the best way to get through if you are getting creamed because the fire ball guy will kill a lot of the spawns for you. You can spend your exp. points while dead though this is suppose to change with the new patch. D

Thank you so much for your reply. I made it out!! I'm still alive!!

I took your advice and decided to run around in circles. The fireballs from above did indeed start to hit the other entities. I got hit too but I just kept moving around and using heal potions. Heck, I didn't even try to kill anyone. I'm jut thrilled to finally get out of there in one piece! Now, I think I'll head down to the fire drakes (and probably be back to this forum to save me again).

Thank you again for your response.

btw, I know we are all unhappy with the v1.4 delay, but I really like this game!

If you're just going down to visit the drakes to get an egg then apply the 'just keep moving' lessons for the trial to avoid the drake's fire spells. Get a 'ward of fire' to make it easier. If you want to get the treasure chest there then 'ward of fire' is a must. D

could you please direct me in locating a "ward of fire". Is it somthing I can purchase? Do I have to be of a certain class in order to use it?

I took off from Arindale to pick up one of the eggs from the breeding grounds, but I turned tail after looking over the situation.

Thank you for being such a help

Ward of fire is available from the celestial temple in Arindale. It is the building with the moon bridge in the front yard. It is possible that if you aren't an adept you can't buy it but I'm not sure about that. Go check it out.
You can get the egg without a fire ward but you must keep moving at all times. Save before entering the drake area incase you get hung up on some obstacle and get killed. Keep one finger on your jump button to get over obstacles and to jump up to where the nests are. D

I'm at work right now so I can't be sure of where I am with the Celestial order. I do know that I need to finish a quest to the Altar of the Diamond Light for them.

After finishing the elf trial, I went to the celestial temple in Arindale but didn't see the ward of fire for sale. Does it help to reload and reenter?

If you have that quest then you can buy the ward of fire. It doesn't help to reload and reenter. The spells they have are set and aren't random. D

If you loaded your game while you were in the room, then you broke the trial and you'll have to go back to an earlier save.
