Trouble with the Ienith brothers...

I'm on the second last quest in the Thieves Guild, which is to kill Navil and Ranes Ienith at the Dren Plantation. I've done the quest before, in previous files, and it was pretty easy, kill them, walk out, report to Stacy, woohoo. This time, something happened that didn't happen last time...

I killed the brothers no problem, but when I start to leave the building, the shirtless guy is running down the stairs, hacking at me with his sword... that wasn't so bad, except that Dren was right behind him. I of course died, as I'm not very far in the game yet.

It said nothing about being expelled from House Hlaalu, and I'm not really sure what to do next. I have a saved file right before I go into the room to kill Navil and Ranes. Help, please.

Buy a spell with the 'Lock' effect. Lock the 1st door behind you before opening the second. Then use an intervention/recall spell to leave.

Thats what I always do.

I hate knowing that somewhere across a big body of water, someone's still out to get me...

There's no quests with Dren, is there? I didn't think there was, because when I went up to see who was upstairs, his liking for me was at zero and he says, "What do you want?"

Know a good place to buy lock?

Its in either balmora caldera or sadrith mora, not sure check all magesbut im prettuy sure its not in ald ruhn or vivec, then agin, it might be in a telvanni compound.,..

I ended up not locking the door at all, the shirtless elf didn't seem to know how to even open an unlocked one.
