k, i have played through the game once already and gave the locket to therese, but ended up siding with jeanette in the rivalry. if i reverse the options, is it worth trying things again? does it change anything major? i read the walkthrough just cause i was curious, but all it says is that if i give it to jeanette, it will lead to an "encounter" later on in the game. my question is, how far a long? i dont really want to make a bad decision with the game just for very minor changes at like the end and have it only change one little thing. so what would happen and when?

its been a while since i last played the game and i've just started it again. like you the last time i played i sided with jeanette and as far as i can remember the only encounter this caused was the bit straight afterwards in the diner where you are set up and have to kill the people that shoot at you

i'm going to try siding with therese this time through just out of curiosity i think

If you have Persuasion 4 or more you can reconcile the sisters to live together in the same body (which nets you 3 XP instead of 1 XP if you side with one of the sisters).
If you side with Jeannette AND give her the locket, you have the opportunity for some (blacked out, sound only) hanky-panky after completion of the Santa Monica quests, but that requires a certain level in seduction (I think 6). And this comes at a certain loss of XP (no release for the ghost a.o.).

personally i don't think that the loss of xp is worth getting to sleep with jeanette lol but thats just my own opinion.

ya thanks, i was just curious about the difference because of the fact that the decision of who to give it to and who should live occurs twice i was curious if anything else happened. especially made me curious about the fact that jeanette is extremely persistent about the locket.

last time through i gave the locket to jeanette and its not worth it at all. you just get a blacked out screen later on and lose 3xp in total as you have to side with jeanette too rather than persuade them to live alongside each other. jeanette is so insistent because she just wants to spoil therese's plans and by getting the locket she knows she will really annoy her sister. all she does with it is throw it into the sea

What Lestat says is very accurate. With persuasion rank 4 you can make Therese and Jannete coexist in the same body and get 3 XP out of Jannet, and 3 XP out of Therese for a grand total of 6 XP for the whole quest. The only bad thing is that: they stay with that horrible appearance for the rest of the game and if you visit them later on in the game, you'll learn that Therese is doing great with the other camarilla members, while Jannete has found the Ocean House Hotel pendant. So either way, there is no release for the poor ghost because they never update their story.
Best bet for the game though zimman, is to get those 6 jucy XP and move on.
