Can't live with them... Can't live without them...

What am i talking about  ? CHILDREN of course!! The little toddlers are very very annoying in the real world, but i miss them in Fallout 2.

My problem
-------------

I am not very good to my CD's, so most of them get a pretty hurt on their way in and out of the CD drive, which has resulted in a lot of new Fallout 2 CD purchases.

My first CD was an unpatched ver, that my older brother bought in a 3 game package (Planescape Torment -- Baldurs gate -- Fallout 2).

When that got wrecked, i got my hands on a 1.02 ver from the U.S ( i found it on a fleeing market) And in this ver there were children. Very annoying, and ugly, children, but it was children all the same, and that amused me a lot. Plus, it added another RPG dimension, that i have been missing ever since that CD got killed.

After that, i bought a Fallout collecters box/package, (Fallout -- Fallout 2 -- Fallout BOS) but i got very disappointed when i saw, that there were no children in it. The ver is 1.12 or 1.05 or something (official Fallout patch), i am not exactly sure ATM, as my PC is broke, and i am using the libraries :( .

What i would like to know is: How do i get children back in my life :speech: I mean game:speech:!

You can't delete thread by yourself. Only mods can do that, and AFAIK they don't do that often.
I think there will be sooner or later mod who will just lock this thread.

Yes well, maybe I should :o
Actually, this probelm is not that kind "problem", since you only need to patch the game, there is nothinh happening which wasn't supposed to happen...
But, maybe I should edit my thread and add this problem there, just in case...

Now, I think we should end this discussion, and wait mod to appear and lock this thread as unnecesarely ;)

Are you talking about installing the latest U.S. patch on a European version? Cause IIRC that could be damaging or something. Anyway, it wasn't good.

You mean that a U.S patch wont be compatible with the european version of Fallout 2??

Then i have to get the game shipped over from overseas :( ...

Or you could download a European patch, for example http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=16.

1.12 patch? Don't know that one
Do you mean you installed the US patch and everything is working? Cause in that case, I'd leave it as it is right now.

I mean that i have a patch, 1.12 or 1.05 i dont know right now because my own computer is down. But i have one of these patches in the european version, but there are no children in it, and i would like to know if i can install the U.S patch with my european fallout 2 and if everything would be working then.

And i would also like to know if i can install that patch that Malta Soron recommended without missing out on something that i have in my new patch.

If I understand you well, you should install European 1.02, (English) 1.05 and the Children's patch. That's the basic patching for a U.K. version of FO2.
