I downloaded all the patches through the "update" part on the main menu, but it still won't unlock the door. I give the ring to the Golem, and he dissapears, but he neither drops a key nor does he unlock the door.

I'm not familiar enough with the toolset to know what kind of key to create to replace in the game. Can anyone point me in a direction that will help?

I have already hit the Bioware page with all the things the company put out, but it hasn't helped me much.

I take it you have tried to open the door and it won't open?

Personally, I don't know how to help you if you have tried. I've only just been through that area again, and the door opened for me.

Yeah, I tried opening it. It tells me it's locked and too complex to pick, etc etc.

Well, for those searching through and looking for a solution to the same problem I was having, I thought I'd be considerate and post my solution. I got the Diamond Pack and unloaded my basic Neverwinter, keeping my old game files. When I reloaded my game via the new version, it worked.

So, if you're having the same problem, try unloading the game and reloading it. You will get an option after it has unloaded the main program asking if you want to keep the game and character files you have. Keep the files, and reload the game. It might fix it, it might not. It's better than just sitting, hoping it will get fixed.
