Hide in Shadows score: Lower than BGI

Hello People... Here I am after player BGI and a doubt that made me anger.
I played BGI with a thief and now I selected the Assassin Kit, cause I liked to much to play the "Hit-and-fade" Style. When my character was in the 9th-10th level in the TotSC, it was a very very powerful PC with 90 Steath that made him every time Hide in Shadows.
When I jumped to BGII and selected the Assassin Kit, I distribute the scores mostly in Stealth and Find Traps. But the Hide in Shadows started separated with 38 points, and I couldn't increase it.
And when I level up, I can't increase the Hide in Shadows score any further...
Is my character cursed, or there are something I can do to make his Hide in Shadows better?
Forgive my long text and thanks for any help.

You should be able to distribute your level up ability points to any category (as an assassin you just get less). There may be a way to fix your problem using a game editor (like shadowkeeper) but I don't know how. I don't think this is a well known bug. You could check that your game is fully patched and then try to import the character again. - Curdis !

But, seems to be not a bug. I'm able to distribute points in the following atributes:
- Stealth
- Find Traps
- Open Locks
- Pick Pockets
Like BGI, these are the 4 atributes for a thieve to distribute, but in SoA, there are some more atributes that aren't able to distribute, like Hide in Shadows, and other that I forgot now.
Hide in Shadows was includded in Stealth abillity before. I only don't know how my HiS abbility could grow without placing score in the level up, but seems to be another way. If someone that played as a thief knows, I'd be grateful.

Why are you insisting it's not a bug? I'd say it's a fairly nasty bug.
My first piece of advice, it to try starting a new game without importing your old character. See if the points work properly there.
It is fairly common for people to have problems with importing characters, and many people just use SK to re-create their old hero, as an alternative to the buggy import option.

Er, when you're leveling up; you are scrolling down the skills list to see the other options aren't you?

Hey man, Deadalready is right. You have to scroll down the skills table when you level up. From BG1 to BG2 there are four more added skills. Unless your game won't let you scroll down it's no glitch.
