Morrowind was pretty good IMO. I found the quests in Morrowind to be a little more tedious than I'd like them, but overall it was a pretty fun game to play.

Keep in mind that Morrowind and Fable are two completely different monsters, the former being so gosh-darn open ended you may be overwhelmed at not know what to do whereas Fable is pretty linear. Vampire: Bloodlines is a great game I'd recommend, as would either of the KOTOR games (they're both more in Fable's direction). If you wanna try something a little different, any of the Baldur's Gate or Fallout games are fabulous as is Neverwinter Nights. NN is more up Fable's ally too (but much better), whereas BG and Fallout are older but deeper. I'd try any of these, good luck

.
Edit: Sorry, upon re-reeading i realized you were responsible for the last post and have played Morrowind, so ignore my comments on it (you know what it's like

).

I've played Fallout 2 I believe and liked it for a while, but made a few too many wrong choices and ruined my chances at the main quest if I remember correctly. The sequencial combat got on my nerves too. I'd much prefer the hack and slash over sequencial compat.
I've played the xbox version of one of the Balders Gate series and enjoyed that too. I think Neverwinter Nights is on my hitlist next.

Sounds great, NN is a perfect choice (I can almost guarantee you'll like it). As for Baldur's Gate, the console titles were good but I was referring to the mammoth computerRPGs that are absolutely nothing like the console titles (except for the setting). Hope NN agrees with you, that one will keep ya busy for awhile

KOTOR is obviously one and Morrowind is the closest but i don't think that Morrowind beats fable because in morrowind it takes hours to finish one quest because you get sidetracked so often and it's a while before you can go on mindless killing sprees so i'd say try either of those and trymmorpg's as well

Yes either of the KOTOR games would probably suit your needs. I wouldn't say that you have to like Star wars either because the story line has nothing to do with the films.

Vampire: Bloodlines is an excellent RPG that I'd recommend. While a darker game set in modern times, it has action and RPG elements (along with customization options) that resonate with the type of things in Fable.
