I have successfully played DL to its conclusion.

Can I edit my character in Dungeon Lords like I can in Gothic ?

If so, how ?

Edit: If you know how but don't want to post the information, please E-mail me.

I can hack the hell out of Dungeon Lords... but I've never played 'Gothic' so I don't know what you mean by editing your character. Do you want to hack your savegame for Dungeon Lords to change something?? Or start over using the same character?? What did you want the end result of 'editing your character' to be??

Gothic has a built in option to edit the character.
I.E. add weapons, armor, improve stats, etc. when you input the proper code word to access the function.
I've heard of hex editing DL. However this seems to be a complex approach to accomplishing my goal.
I've already overwritten the saves for my last character.
When I complete the game with my new character, I'd like to be able to start again with it.

Thanks for responding.

I see. Well, even starting a new game with the same character is kind of complex. It requires two computers.
What I would recommend is saving just before battling the last demon, before you re-aquire the relics.
Then you send that savegame to a friend, or put it on another machine that you may have. You then host a multiplayer game on the second machine, loading that savegame. On the other machine you create a character, leaving your character on the far right of the MP screen. You then join the game, click on your character on the far right... then the host computer starts the game.
Once in the game, the host needs to save, then exit with you still in the game.
Your character will now appear on the character creation screen when you goto SP, new game. You would just click 'Play this Character' and go from there.

If you do this while your character has all the relics, the game wont progress correctly.

I'm on my fifth time through with the same character (now Level 52). I, like everyone, am just waiting for the 1.4 patch to come out before I start a new character.

You can use my character editor to export character stats from one game and import in another.

I used the character listed above and have a problem. It seems my new character has a hard time striking anything my strike is at 50 but it takes many hits to bypass the armor and make an affective hit. what could the problem be.

I'm too new at this game. I haven't anything helpful to offer you. Sorry.

I had the same problem... but I edited the file directly (my self) using a hex editor... The may be that your DEX and AGI are too high. Set them to 99, but not much higher. That seemed to work for me.

It is because it sends your strike above 100... If Strike >= 101 then game sees it as a strike ability of 1...
