Thief guild very annoying!

Because you have to return to it every 5th day plus you have to return to the quartermaster to pay him. You can't adventure very long without having to go back to the docks or you will loose the guild. I'm beginning to question whether I should drop the guild by not paying.

You don't have to return to the quartermaster to pay him, he waits in your guild for the payment.
In my games I never lost the guild. I was pretty late a few times, but the guy just waited there and never even got angry about it.

Yeah but when you go to Spellhold, Underdark etc. you will eventually loose the guild won't you? You can't return to Athkatla here.

Well, I've read in some posts that you loose it when you go to Spellhold.
All I can say is that I didn't, perhaps I was back fast enough, but it was much more than 5 days and there was no unusual reaction from the guy who collects the money from you.

Nope you wont lose it when you go to spellhold or the underdark as Renal Bloodscalp probably gets some special orders from Aran Linvail

i think it was annoying to a lost it a couple of times when i was adventuring and came to late.
the first times i bought it back but the guild costed my more money then i got from it so i let it get closed.
it was cool to have a own thiefs guild but why should u keep it u won't get any item and u don't get very rich form it.
