Finding Griff

I have a problem. I went to Tantooine and to the Sand People Enclave before I started Mission's side quest of finding Griff. I let the jawas out and opened the area where Griff was supposed to be. Of course, he wasn't there. I then started Mission's quest and went back to theEnclave. Since I had been there before, the gate was up and he wasn't there.
The sand people said thay had him but I can't find him. What do I do?

Did you ask them to free him?
By doing things out of order, you may have made the quest unresolvable. Try leaving the planet and coming back if that fails.

If that doesnt work then try loading to a point before you went to the Jawas. If you dont have a save point that far back then you should start saving in seperate spots to avoid this problem in the future.
