Many times I have thought of this situation. Which would win? Nameless one a a Fighter, Thief or Mage or a class from BG2.

I think nameless would caine because of his regeneration and also CELESITIAL FURY spell.

I think it's not a match you can propose......the nameless one is untouchable IMO......the Child of Bhaal saga is completely different....

Nameless One as a lvl 23 mage (give or take a level) with 25 wis, int and cha could IMO wipe out any BGII character you could think of (legal character I mean :)

Heh, NO could probably WILL the opponent out of existance :)

Failing that, a high level monk could probably blow him away... > :)

After he’s merged with TTO, The Nameless One is essentially a Fighter 24/Thief 24/Cleric 30/Mage 30. With spells like Rune of Torment at his disposal and centuries of experience he could pimp smack Elminster, Karsus, Vecna, Ao, the Lady of Pain and yo’ momma without breaking a sweat (okay, maybe that’s slightly overstating it but he’s still damn powerful). A level 40 Bhaalspawn is no push over but the Nameless One would still dominate a match between them. ;)

Hmm... I think a sorcerer will beat The Nameless one, by simply imprisoning him, or polymorphing him into a squirrel.

Using the infinity explorer one can find out the Trancendent One's stats and levels. I'm not sure where, but I remember reading that the Nameless One had been a Fighter 24/Thief 24/Mage 24 in his various incarnations.

The Nameless One would be very difficult to Polymorph (if not impossible since after the merger with The Transcendent One I doubt he'd even be vulnerable to such spells) and besides, what's stopping him from doing the same stuff to a sorcerer? The Nameless One would own another mage in a duel.

Heh, TNO probably has saves going through the roof...

And if I was "all powerful", I'd walk around with a Contingency with Spell Immunity - Abjuration :D

Illithids would kick Nameless One's arse.

A few brain sucks, and by by nameless guy.

*Know* that the beings which are called the "Illithid" do not *know* themselves.

*Know* that the human who is called the "Nameless One" does *know* himself again.

*Know* that therefore the "Nameless One" could kick any "Illithid" butt anytime.

How about Namesless one vs Irenicus? In all the cinematic movies of Irenicus you would think he could cast 2-3 spells per round rather then the usual one all with -8 to saving throws :P

when i played torment, i was really stuck for a LONG time, so all i did was keep going into that one dungeon with those worm things. my guy was some outrageous level...in the forties if i am not mistaken. it has been a long time since i played it.
very cool game, probably the most original game i have ever played

I do hope that a level 31 mage in ToB will be able to cast like that. Thats would be excellent. If thats the case, then I'll restart the game from the begginning to be able to do this! :)

At the very least! Surprising what game developers do to make their baddy look more frightening than he really is...

Well, on Irenicus, he uses a spell (I believe it's called Rapture of the Father) to cast those spells. Rumor has it it'll be available in the expansion.
On Nameless one, yeah, he'd be pretty amazing...although not invincible for some of those legendary NPCs. Kharsus could probably take him out (Remember, the guy has 12th level mage spells and is, I believe, over level 40). Elminster too, he's about the same levelwise, slightly lower statwise, and is good friends with Azuth and Mystra. Not a guy to tangle with.

Someone dificult to kill would be the Lady of Pain, no Elminter ,Karshus(or whatever) could give a simple scratcht on her

Mystra and Azuth don't even factor into the equation in a ‘Nameless One vs. Elminster’ duel. They’re gods of Toril, but TNO is a planeswalker whose power doesn’t come from any locally situated deity. Any battle between El and TNO would probably take place in Sigil, or someplace where Mystra would be powerless. So we can discount divine aid for Elminster. On a purely statistic point, the Nameless One has higher levels, better stats, and (dare I say it) more experience then Elminster (Elminster’s old but the Nameless One is ancient). El would but up a good fight but I think the Nameless One would defeat him.

Karsus however, would be a different story. Anyone who can steal power from a god is packing some serious oomph. I’m not sure who would win in that one.
