cant get secret phrase for the 1st celestal relic

ive read over the walkthroughs on here,they tell me to simply kill the white thing flying around the cage stopping me gettin to the horn
then after its been killed i will get the secret words and be able to tell them to the magic mouth which will open up the cage for me
but...problem,when i kill the white thing,
i dont get any secret words
is the white thing NOT the gaurdain which the magic mouth is on about???
anyhelp would be well ...um...helpfull!

Not sure what white thing you are killing. A floor level below the mouth is a dog-like beast you kill (It's in a small room with a platform and two chests) .. It will breathe poisonous fog a lot during the fight. Once you kill it, the secret words will appear in the air above its corpse. Then you can go talk to the mouth.

To find the creature that will give you the secret word head north out of the room with the cage till you come to a wall, head east till you come to a wall and then south. Down the ladder is the creature, D

How do you kill that white ghost thing? I have 2 of them I can not get past.
I am lvl 6 if that matters

If you block with your shield, then their freezing breath attacks won't do anything to you. So you have to block and then carefully time your attacks. Or load your game, if that's convenient. I always skip banshees if I can.

white thing
if you have any potions of fire , magic missle, or shrieking star hit the white thing with these it will make quick work of them. if you hit escape when it hits you with the iceball you can wait till the ice ball dissapears from around you then resume and continue to fight it. codger
