Hello everyone.
Im kinda curious - i have finished morrowind main and tribunal main quests and at end of tribunal quest i met Azura again and she told me that at some point i might kill Vivec etc etc. So... I kinda went along with that suggestion, got in his chambers and killed the guy but Azura hasnt appeared to comment my actions. Now i have glanced at Bloodmoon walkthru "headlines" so to say, but havent noticed any sign of mission to kill Vivec? it would be logical to finish him in tribunal because of the story, but it never appeares as a completed quest or in journal, doesnt end with apparition of Azura congratulating etc. Anyone of you guys has a solution or you aswell wonder about this as i do? Is there a separate assignment/quest to kill Vivec or not?
kinds regards,
TheSaint

Um, your not supposed to kill Vivec. To be exact to what Azura said, she said "Vivec may hold a role in your future" not "your gonna kill him." Hes part of your Morrowind main quest, if you've finished it then the Tribinial main quest, what she says about Vivec is nothing you need to worry about.

hi, what she actually says(briefly and without spoilers) is:
"You have done well mortal... Weep not for Sotha Sil... These gods lived with the burden of a power no mortal was meant to posses. Your work is not finished. Vivec still lives, but i believe his time grows short... Protect my people, defend the land... embrace your destiny."
ofc you can understand this maybe in two ways but it vaguely implicates that you should kill Vivec. at least it looks that way to me. you have probably misunderstood which part of game i was talking about - tribunal not morrowind.
cheers

That means (SPOILER)
that after you do the main Morrowind quest, he turns Mortal, and so that means something to that.
But there is no quest to kill Vivec, because when you kill him it says, "You have killed one of the main characters, load a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you created." So im guessing your not supposed to kill him. You CAN, but there is no quest for it.

it doesnt matter if you kill vivec or not, just do it after the main story line, because if u kill him before dagoth ur, then you gotta get wrathguard from his body, read a bunch of rare books, talk to a few people, and so on and so forth. If you complete tribunal before you complete the main quest, azura says vivec still lives, and that she feels he will play a role in your close future. If you complete the main quest before tribunal, she says the time of the tribunal is over, and that all three god-kings are dead.

ACTULLY, if you just want Wrathguard, then you HAVE to kill Vivec. If you dont want to do all that stupid stuff. You kill Vivec and take the item from him, and then go to Tel Fyr, and talk to the spider thing down there.

SPOILER WARNING
That Wrightguard you get by killing Vivec is not exactly the same He would give to you. Let's just mention the noticable (and permanent) Health penalty when you put it on ....
Besides they go on different hands - one is Right, the other is Left
