He is the only undead left in the area and I can not seem to damage him before he kicks my tail. Any help?

Welcome to GB.
What class is your character? That's going to change your strategy a lot.
Try using items that give you a damage bonus such as fire or ice damage, that will circumvent any stoneskin spells he may have active.
If you're a cleric employ fear and death protections as well.
And arcane casters should attempt to dispell the lich's protections while a fighter-type henchmen attacks at melee range.

Protect yourself from elemental damage either with the Protection from the Elements spell if you're a magic user, or with the Resistance to the Elements spell if you are not.
(Note: I don't know if a scroll with the latter would work for warriors, as I've never played as one. I know it works for paladins, but then again, paladins can cast certain cleric spells.)

i did it once by luring as many of the zombies and mummies out first without toras coming after me, killing them then setting loads of traps just out of his sight then getting him to chase me through them (this was as a thief). as a mage or sorceror, spells like issaacs missile storms work a treat on him too.

Man if you have any healing spells, Brother Toras is the easiest guy to beat. I killed him on my very first try with me Cleric. If you have a Heal spell, it works opposite on undead and takes the undead down to 1-4 hp (with a succesful spell that is). Then you just hit him once and bam, hes dead.
