Force Sight?

When this power is activated, it's suppose to let you see through walls & tell peoples alignment. But when I use it, nothing happens. I mean nothing. My character does his force 'squat' (hand out as if saying these are not the droids your looking for), then returns to a stance. I look around (even when I know there are bad guys beyond the door) and nothing. Am I missing something??

Do you have a graphics card which supports Frame Buffer effects? Are they switched on in the game options?

Without Frame Buffer effects Force Sight doesn't work.

Force sight may seem a bit underwhelming when you get it to work, but it is worth it's weight in gold when you get to Malachor to work out what is waiting for you on the other side of a door. :p

Not sure there W666... Norton says I have a 800 x 600 in 64K Colors, NVIDIA GeForce2 MX Ver. 6.14

Where do I find the frame buffers? You say game options, but there are several screens for that? Config says I'm running at 800x600 resolution, 60 refresh rate, med text pack, no v sync. Mean anything? I can go to the grapics settings as well, but ther seem to be maxxed with my card

From the game's main menu: choose Options, then Graphics, then Advanced options. Make sure that Frame Buffer Effects is activated with an X next to it.

If you can't activate it, then the game doesn't think that your graphics card supports it.

* EDIT * According to the troubleshooting guide included with the game, you may be out of luck:
NVIDIA GeForce 2 and GeForce 4 MX Chipsets
...
· You may lock up at a black screen after selecting 1600x1200 for the Screen Resolution.
· Frame Buffer Effects will not be displayed in the game.
· You may experience color banding in sky textures.

Just a lame question but who and how do you get force sight? Isnt that a scripted force power only happening in certain events in the game?

Are you in first person view or third person view?

If I recall right, you need to be in first person view - but it has been quite some time since I played, so it is by memory.

when you use force sight with visas you must use first person view, but when you know it yourself you can be in either first person or third person
