... and I feel really frustrated about it.

I've got such a basic problem that i'm stuck at the beginning of the game which seems to be really great. Basicly I've got some difficulties to pick up things.

I wasn't able to pick up the money hidden in the wall in the surfers's place and now i can't pick up the red book in lily's car.

Do you have advices? Is there anyway to make your character look down in order to make this process easier.

Hit me back asap guys cuz I NEED YOUR HELP !

There is no trick to picking things up. Crouch (if needed), use your mouse to point the cross-hairs at the object, whereupon it should develop an aura of sorts, and then hit the action key (E by default). Viola!
Others have, however, mentioned periodic difficulties that I have never run across. Sometimes getting the cross-hairs placed properly is a little tricky-they don't acquire the target unless precisely placed. Some report a problem picking things up that they have resolved by jumping right beside the object, which presumably corrects some kind of phase difficulty that your character may have developed, where the player and object have become out of phase with each other in game space. The last solution, of course, is to save the game, quit, and restart.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try that but I think I already try these solutions.

Anyway I'll post how things are going.

Hey I wanted to thank you cuz even if you didn't give me the right answer you put me on the way to solve my problem. The answer was easy and has nothing to do with the game, I just had to unselect my mouse for moving so it can be used to change the direction in which the character is looking.

I remember having problems with the money at Surf's Up too. Try going to 1st person view (default key: Z). That should help your aim.
