(sigh) Read back. We've been through this before. Interplay posted an "available now" comment on their website by accident a few weeks ago. If it's gold, we'll find out in a few days--best to wait, not to jump the gun and assume anything.

You could be right, Fable. The black isle website has nothing about the game going gold. Neither does the official ToB website.
Interplay had better not be yanking us around again, or there'll be trouble.

The official site is on the Interplay site. I think this is really legit. Now how long until they ship??

metatron..in the old testament a human prophet ascended and became the archangel metatron. if i remember right he was callled something like 'Esajas' in danish. and now holds a place of power, akin to what Lucifer used to before the fall

ToB is still shown as "coming soon" at EBWorld.

ofcourse it's showing coming soon, gone gold does not mean that it's at stores already it means that it will be in a few days give it 4 to a week and you'll be playing ToB none stop just like me and every one else who went nuts waiting for ToB to come out.

I just got off the phone with Interplay's PR department. It hasn't gone gold, yet. I'll be getting written confirmation of this later today.

That would be my question too. Why the "Gone Gold!" on the official BGII site, if it hasn't??? Maybe Fable's written response from them will say.

I think Fable is wrong. I understand everyone is hesitant due to past false alarms, but eventually it was going to be the real deal and I think that is now. This thing is GOLD!!!!!!!

Um, not quite. This is what Black Isle Studios has posted in the topic about ToB:

"Do not expect an official announcement on this topic today."

That doesn't sound like confirmation of a gone gold status to me. It sounds like somebody is trying to find the origin of the statement, and see if it's fact.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Interplay PR about this.
