Items that don't quite seem to fit

Have you ever felt that some items in Morrowind are just incongruous, for any number of reasons?
I have this problem with "heavy leather boots."
You know, those light beige things with the fur around the tops that look a bit like somebody's old winter boots.
To me they don't make sense because they have one of the higher light armor ratings (better than assassin's leather), yet they don't look especially good with any armor, and they are only worth 100 gold.
They look as though they should be worn with an entire set of good, functional leather armor... Yet to the best of my knowledge the only thing that matches them are those silly Colovian (Sp?) fur hats...
Other items? Or comments on the above?

Skooma Pipes...
They included Skooma Pipes and Skooma as a drug and booze, but only NPCs are smoking or drinking it. I just think it would be hliarious to have visual effects of being drunk and going out to kill dremora while intoxicated. Not only do you get the effects on your stats, but you should get the visual effects as well. Imagine Dagoth Ur defeated by the Balmora Town Drunk
O that's Hul isn't it?

I think the Moon Sugar, and a nord leg? those are some weird items. But as the guy said above me, the Town Drunk defeating Dagoth Ur, I would laugh my ass off!

Two things:
1. Glass armour- it's glass, getting hit by anything while wearing this should make things worse!
2. Ebony armour- If you didn't know, ebony is wood. People would chop through that pretty easily.

No, ebony is a mineral. (like say, granite or limestone.)

It doesn't make sense for merchants to sell (or buy) those potions that drain health or anything else. Reminds me of an item I once made while DMing in a popular online MMORPG. I deliberately placed a brief stun spell on a pendant with self-cast. If you looked at the pendant, you knew it wasn't quite right.

I've never quite understood the attribute draining potions myself... Most especially their buying and selling.
I suppose they can be brewed to practice one's alchemy skills, but why not just prepare potions that are useful instead?

Think about it rather as something like obsidian (volcanic glass).

There are ebony trees (several kinds), but there is also the ebonite (vulcanite), used often enough in time passed and mostly replaced by plastics today.

I think I was in Gnsis
but I am not sure. There was a strip club thing there, I though it did not really fit.
