There use to be posts with lot of questions and with lot of answers. It does not seems right if you press "Submit..." just to find that the timeout was over and to probably lose all you had typed. Patience may be lost this way, too, you know. IMHO the timeout should be longer.

That's not a MW issue, but related to the board in general. Moved.

Funny - I have seemingly no problems whatsoever with timeouts on this site. Neither with submitting posts or when staying inactive for a prolonged periode of time.
Could it be a connection/ISP issue?

I had, 3 or 4 times today. There were other days as well
And on one occasion today i even lost my post - hadn't copied it. I have got used to it already and often make a copy, altogether sometimes i forget ... It happens often than after posting i have to re-login, however. Not that i typed very solwly, though not very very fast either.
Most of time i spend as a guest here altogerher (since MW forum isn't most active any more).

Do you visit other trans-alantic boards/sites and have you experienced the same issues there/with some of thoese?
It sounds to me as connection issues, and not with the site per se, although perhaps an increased timeout on submitting posts might help, but that is up to Buck Satan.
- But it sounds more as if the connection isn't going through prober when navigating/posting.

Do you mean that the board is logging you out? If you do not accept a cookie during log in, you will automatically be signed out due to inactivity, which is counted through changing pages.
If this continues to be a problem, lower your internet security regarding cookies, which you do from the 'Internet Options' selection from the group 'Tools' at the top of your screen.
Also, if you are writing something long, simply copy it before hitting submit before this happens. I started doing that after it happened to me the first time.

Oh, right. My apologies. This is Linux box i haven't had a leisure to upgrade, and it does not goes along with latest Firefox. So it still works in the way i had Firebird set up. Begging pardon, my fault. :speech:
