Its just another bug in this famously buggy game. Unfortunately, you'll need to either restart from a saved game prior to entering the first time, restart the game or skip it entirely.

You're not supposed to leave the shadow ruins till it's done! You should not enter any area unless you plan on completing it!

Help every dungeon lords fan
But will that problem disapear in version 1.4?
Please asnwer me.
Then he pased to many missions and he has not any saves before shadow ruins.
Is there any other way please help?

A thought?
Perhaps it is possible to re-activate the portal to the Shadow Realm by granting your character the recquired key (shadow crystal) through the utilatization of a hex-editor?
But regardless, frequent saving should be a logical decision anyone should be able to make, especially due to the several bugs this game contains.
Install the 1.4, perhaps your wrongdoing will be corrected.
