does anyone know why the 5 escaped prisoners the ones where you have to cut off there ears are not in the locations the walkthrough says they should be? 
[/QUOTE]Did you talk to the guy at the barracks where Aribeth and Aarin Gend are waiting for your progress reports? I don't think the 5-Ear-Quest is activated before you talk to him.
Edit: Okay, so that was vague. The man you have to talk to is Kendrack, and the barrack is in Port Llast.
