Annoying things in fable

#1. that stupid card sorting game at Knothole Glade. I make good progress throught the first 5 rounds and then i'll accidentilally choose the wrong caurd for letting up on the analog stick a bit. and when i do beat it with a score of 27 secs and im hopin for a scarlet robe hero doll to complete my collection and the quest it turns out i need lower time! Any ideas on how to beat this fast? Any comments?
#2. Im sitting there playing coin golf in oakvale and im getting a huge headache from the adoring villagers and people that are in love with me. I mean, i know im sexy with the somrune tatoo, normal haircut, big beard and guard uniform but jeez people, do you ever shut up! Any Comments?
#3. Simply put, Nymphs. They're not very tough enemies, as they die from one full power bow shot, but its the fact that they fly around in circles for a long time and when they do appear its for a split second so it can summon hobbes or scorpions to attack me! Any coments?
#4. Summon spell. Its a very useful spell IF your puny wasp manages to kill a strong enemy(unlikely). I managed to get it to kill a minion dreadwing but it took 10 mins. It is a strong spell but the fact that the wasp does 10 damage and dies in a hit really degrades its power. Any comments?
Any new ones?

Switching through the spell sets whilst in battle can get a bit annoying.

Turn on the magical shield then blast away with the lightning spell. It should stay locked onto the nymph until it dies and the spell is impossible for the nymph to dodge.

You can use the Slow Time spell to drastically reduce your card sorting times. I don't remember the exact number, but my record for that game is like 5 seconds.

I'm playing through the game for the third time, and even in Bowerstone South (fresh game) people ask me why I killed Whisper, and that the Bronze Gate has been opened. Even in the second game after I spared Whisper, they asked me why I killed her.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Is it patchable, or should I try removing and re-installing? It's really annoying.

The way wagers in the mini games are handled is incredibly annoying. I like to play blackjack repeatedly to gain cash and the "Previous Played Bet" option is a joke- I mean if the game is incapable of remembering what my last bet was before I saved we would be better off with a "Maximum Bet" option. This is even more annoying when I as a PC player should be able to *type* my bet (or donation) manually and save all that messing about with the up/down keys.
The aging system annoys me too, not only because my Hero's tattoos become all distorted and it looks like he needs a zimmer frame to get anywhere, but nobody seems to notice how *quickly* he ages. I mean, I met Briar Rose in the Bowerstone pub at the beginning of the game when I was but a whipper-snapper, now I've just done the Darkwood Disturbance quest with her and she hasn't realised I've aged forty years in a little under a month.
Accents. As an Englishman I take exception to the fact that in most games when an British person is called for they invariably have either a ridiculously phoney Cockney accent or they talk like a pompous toff- that or they have a "British" accent, something that does *not* exist anywhere in the real world (except maybe Hollywood). However in Fable I am beset by the most exaggerrated caricature voices it has ever been my misfortune to hear . If i have to listen to "Ooh you are norty" one more time I think I'll scream
Finally, am I the only one who has noticed a slightly (dare I say it?) Hitlerian undercurrent to the game? To my knowledge there are only three black people in the game- Whisper, Thunder and the Temple of Avo bodyguard. Add to this the change in appearence of a perfectly good character- blond hair and blue eyes? Ring any bells?

I can see where you're coming from, but I disagree. Fable is set in a fantasy world meant to be like medival U.K. If memory serves me there weren't many black people hanging out there. Also, blonde people were considered to be more pretty- think Marilyn Monroe. To Medival U.K'ers, a blonde, blue-eyed person would have been the height of goodness.

Talk to the Oracle about Whisper and Thunder.
They came from overseas, as such, this isn't their land, so they won't be the dominating race, however if you were to go overseas, it would be a different story.

Most annoying things.
The adorers. The hearts all over town can be very disturbing. I mean, for goodness sakes, sometimes even men carry a big heart above their head, yuck. (I'm not anti-gay, I like gay people, they're friendly). And all the time these horny voices, going 'that's the mighty ranger'. Bleh
That boy in the Hobbe's cave. I was about to smite him, if he was going to shout his whiney 'help' one more time. Brrr.
And yes, the nimphs are very annoying. Keep giggling an poofing up Hobbe's or scorpions. First I just avoided them, but now I'm increasing my will user's powers and destroying them easily with just lightning. They don't even have time to land and spawn an army of hobbes or scorpions.

The fact that Albion has a vaguely medieval technology base and that the residents speak with accents to be found in the British Isles and that they are charicatures of the various British "peasantry" does not mean Fable is set in medieval U.K. I do not know how medieval Britons spoke but I am quite sure it is very dissimilar from 21st century language- read Dickens or Chesterton to get a feel for the evolution of language over the course of just a century.
The point is that Albion is a fictional world created by a modern company, which, one would think, would adhere to modern ideals of freedom equality and democracy- I find it highly dubious that the game does not seem to reflect this.
With specific regards to your comments about Marilyn Monroe- I can see what you're getting at but again what does the clour of one's hair and meyes matter in 21st century society?

I am more willing to accept this argument, but it still leaves room for questions- are there really only three foreigners in a country the size of Albion? Four if you count Madame Minsche (sp?).
The tale of the settlers who went out to a foreign land and killed the natives with headcolds; the fact that this story came back to Albion; that Thunder and Whisper and others have arrived in Albion and that Whipser went home suggests to me that sea travel in Albion, while perhaps not frequent is very possible. So again- why so few foreigners?

Well, it's the old day, so travel across lands isn't simply a day long journey. It would take weeks and weeks, and you would be travelling into the unknown, you may not know the language, and could easily get shipwrecked, as the Oracle said happened to Whisper and Thunder.
Though the cause for journey needs to be known. Thunder and Whisper, along with that hero probably had a dream for heroics, and they were conquering the unknown. The same could be applied to that other hero, who wanted to be brave too. Meanwhile, that person was probably a slave.
Compare this to England in the 16 hundreds. Very few people travelled places, even though they knew locations. They travelled to places nearby, but never across long distances, simply because it was too dangerous. I would say this is the same.
Also, you can walk everywhere, so this would just be a very small part of Albion, a small number of towns next to each other (until Knothole Glade and Snowspire).

Summon
Yea start out by lowering an undeads health by hitting it a few times, then summon your wasp and it will kill it easly. Then as an undead the monster is realativly strong so lower the enemies health you want as an allie then summon the undead to kill it. The strategy here is to lower the enemies helth before you summon.

I think this is supposed to be the era it's set in, but what confuses me, is that at the beginning of the game, in Oakvale, the bully who took Rosie the bear says something like: "Have you washed my mum's car yet?"
I thought this to be strange, considering this seems to be set in the past...
Anyone else recognize this?

That bothered me alot too. Also that you can't take off JoB's mask and that if you DO wear it, you can't wear hats AND if you wear assassin cloths, the mask goes over it and you see part of the shirt through the mask...

What I do is charge um my fireball, and lock on, as soon as the nymph appears, fire, and he gets blown to smethatrines.

The monster you summon has to KILL the enemy, as in LAND THE FINAL BLOW, if you do some small damage to the target(of you are too powerful, just punch it a couple of times) and let your monster finish the enemy off. And there you have it. I was able to get me a Screamer that way.

I'm probably not the only one to say this but I hate that when I'm trying to concentrate on a bar game I have nearly 50 people (so it seams) Whistling, clapping, making affectionate coments (such as the annoying "Yoo Woo") over and over againto where it's hard to think. Especially during the card sorting game.
