Peanut Butter

So, assuming you like peanut butter, do you prefer Creamy & Salted, Creamy & Unsalted, Crunchy & Unsalted, Crunchy & Unsalted.
The reason I ask is because a friend and I got into a conversation the other day, and she was quite adamant that creamy and unsalted is the only kind she eats, whereas I prefer crunchy and salted, but I'll settle for creamy and salted if I really have to
Then I spoke to some other people, and it turned out they all had really set ideas on how they liked to eat peanut butter. So, I thought I would put the question here

... with salt? blasphemy! I like the tast of Blasphemy.
Nuts are good salty, not their buttery goodness though.
Ugh... Canadians...

I'm sure I could convince you otherwise.
I like creamy, I don't know about salted or unsalted. Whatever "normal" peanut butter is? I'm assuming salted. It's especially good in my special sundae deal if you melt it first. :mischief:

Hmm.. Well we buy a brand called "Adams."
I'm not sure how normal it is, but it comes in all the varieties I listed.

I've never noticed any "salted" or "unsalted" peanut butters. Just creamy or crunchy. Odd.

Maybe it's a health geek thing....
@Fiona,
You are very resilient to the corrupting influence of peanut butter

Maybe.
Bah, I can fix that. I found ways to make a girl that has a food allergy to chocolate that loves warm chocolate sauce.

Obviously, you haven't been introduced to Peanut Butter Jelly
You have no chance to survive make your time.
Anyhoo, I like mine creamy. I don't know about salted vs. unsalted either. All I know is that I like peanutbutter best with butter.

I voted crunchy unsalted because I have never had any PB that could be called "salty". I don't have much of a preference between crunchy and creamy; maybe the only reason I went with crunchy is because it doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth as horribly as creamy

Chunky peanut butter carries all before it. and while I've never had unsalted peanut butter, I'm not convinced that avoiding chronic heart disease is a good enough reason to switch.

Hiya Cuch!
How goes it?
Long time no see!
And yes I agree, peanut butter is indeed great. I find that peanut butter on toast as a snack or light meal is hard to beat. I mean, Hell, it's even nutritious
@Ik, re "peanut jelly" *shudder*
And I remain steadfast, you need a very slight amount of salt to give it a little bite, and you need the crunch to give it body and texture.

Crunchy and salted, of course. The "standard" peanut butter sold in stores is salted, though salt-less varieties show up. Perhaps the worst peanut butter I ever had was labeled "organic." It was unimpressive and exceedingly dry, and naturally wasn't salted.
If you like peanut butter, try almond butter.

They call that salted? heh, ive had more salt in a... in a... teaspoon of sugar *sings Mary Poppins, jumps off of roof with Umbrella*
If you like butter, try cocoa butter!

Ok I'll try to on the subject without distracting you all to much so as to make you think I am a nut or something.
Hoe do you all like Peanut butter to eat, like what would you serve it with and how. Maybe bannana and peanut butter sandwich or marshmellow cream or chocolate or variable jellies.
This is the Peanut butter thread expansion pack. Do not forget folks this still a DW POLL. This might get sticky.
