Most boring section of the game?

OK, we've discussed fun, but what about boredom? What part of the game tested your patience to the limit?
For me it has to be the first parts of the Underdark. That sea city, and then having to complete some quests to make it into the Drow city. This bit was far too linear for my liking, not much choice in what you did.

Definately the first dungeon... I hate it. (and you really HAVE to do it every time you start over...)

I most heartily agree with Chrissy.

I LOVED the first dungeon. Because it was so early, the designers knew who'd be there, and when, and this makes for a dungeon full of character pieces.
Actually, I love it when Imoen is near death and runs off screaming that she doesn't want to die here. Nice touch.

If I find a boring place, I'll let you know. I've completed the game once, going through again trying to find a few spells and items I missed. I guess that I just have a high quotion of boredom.

Seems that most of us can agree on the first dungeon to be the most boring.....I guess it is because there isn't anywhere else you can go...and the game feels like it really starts when you get out of the dungeon.....
And of course if you have completed the game a couple of times it doesn't make matters any better.....
No doubt in my mind that it is the most boring part of the game....

I hate the first dungeon with a fiery, all-consuming passion that is almost holy in its overwhelming intensity. So I guess it gets my vote. (grin) Cripes, what I wouldn't give for a patch that made the prison break skipable. With the plethora of interesting classes to play, it's maddening that you have to go through the exact same mind-numbing process every time to get to the actual game. Although I have to admit, it was very cool and innovative the first time through. By the seventh or eighth time through I have to leave the room during Irenicus' opening monologue or risk putting my fist through the monitor.

Irenicus' dungeon also gets my vote for most boring - it was fun once - mayby twice, but I've restarted this game so many times I've lost count - and still only finished it once <g>

The very first dungeon. You always have to do it, it has exactly the same outcome and there's to much running around through large corridors (the whole trapped djinni bit is especially long winded travelling wise).

Yeah, the first dungeon is really boring when you've done it a couple of times. But having to see all those dream sequences over and over again gets boring quickly.

I too, suffer from first dungeon blues. It seems I am not the only one who wants to try out several of the kits but can't bear the thought of talking to those bubble boys over and over.
At least you get to see Khalid splayed out on that dissection table over and over...
Just a thought - if enough of us actually do restart the game with interesting kits, we could build a library of games all saved just after the movie sequence in Waukeen's promenade. Have to establish rules/guides for PC stats, making sure all the important eqipment comes out of the dungeon, and determining which "path" the characters choose when answering the genie "Ataqah"
Also - with Shadowkeeper, can't you just save one game and then edit it to get the PC you want?

First dungeon gets my vote, too. Have it memorized, by now.
I saved the multi-player game as soon as I exited (after going through this 5-6 times), so that every time I want to start new characters, I just insert them instead of the saved ones, and I don't have to trudge through the entire prison crawl and dream scenes, anymore. Woohoo!

So let me get this straight - you now have six different characters to try out as the protagonist? What happens to Minsc, Jaheira and Yoshimo? I haven't tried the "multiplayer" option yet - do you start six different games and then import them all to a MP game?
