Does a killed char lose his items?

Post by Craig234 »

At the Pallasides(sp?), my cleric got killed. I got an item that resurrected him, but a little later noticed all his items were gone.

I went back and couldn't find his body.

Do chars lose their items in that situation? Could I have looted his body while he was killed before using the item?

Whenever a character is killed, all of his or her items are dropped at the very spot that they were slain. If you intend on playing thru the death of a character (as opposed to simply reloading), then you'll want to pick up the dead character's equipment prior to leaving the area.

Thanks

Thanks; do you think the items disappeared that quickly? The chars didn't go far, just to finish the quest and get the item to resurrect.

Otherwise, guess I have to pick between losing the items and repeating the long battle.

Items on the ground disappear after a certain amount of fictional in-game time has passed. If you rested any time between your cleric's death and the time when you went back to the location of his untimely demise, odds are the items are gone.
