Okay, lay it on me...
As of today you are looking at (or rather reading a post from) a jobless man.
Fine by me because it was a soul crushing job anyhow (though money is nice and will be missed).
But right now I'm taking time to do my favorite thing in the world, which is of course goof off on the internet. And if there's time I'll look for a new job, but i won't look TOO hard for the next couple of weeks...
So anyone out there got any cool links for me? Games, puzzles, fun sites, whatever? No link is too dumb, no site is too lame, my goal here is to kill time.
Can anyone hook an unemployed brother up, linkage-wise?

Actually, if you look up the search at the top of the page by searching game, you might find some in this forum.
Recently we had a monster one that was hilarious. I'll try and dig up the competition that the local Neuroscientist won.
EDIT: Here you are, my good man: http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/showt ... ht=Monster

Hi Captainbrumble, and welcome to SYM
Make yourself at home, grab a chair and a drink, and be wary of the pets and fetishes
About the only link I can think to provide just now is a site for the old game Tetris:

There's one about killing kittens in the Spam Factory. It didn't work for me, but others seemed to enjoy it. I think if you use search in that thread you'll find it.
And if you're really stuck there is a select faction here who style themselves "historians". Idea is you read back in SYM. It's odd, but some people enjoy it

My suggestion? Get twisted and either hook up with a lady or spam here. It's amused me for quite some time.
@Hill, my name was on the ALL-TIME Highscore list. Where was yours?
I played the game four or five times in total. Bugger off.

this site is kind of cool:
http://www.anyfilms.net
there's short films to watch and you can make your own too by moving icons around. it's fun!
don't wait too long to look for a job, brumble! as someone who knows a little too well from experience- money goes QUICK when you're unemployed!

dragonwench, curse you for posting that tetris link, the game is still very very addictive. Oh god how I feel joy when that red brick appears...
Quick question, does anyone know how to turn off the sound at that site? it's pretty jarring and I can't seem to turn it off. I can of course turn off my speakers, but i'm usually listening to my own music, etc.
Also thanks to pitfalllarry for the anyfilms link, that site was a good time, also addictive. Though i'm not sure how many of those short films you have to watch before the overall storyline becomes clear. Because I've made a bunch and while they're fun, i still can't figure out who did what and to to who. I guess if you watch them all you get it, but watchign them out of order (the only way there is to watch them) sometimes leaves me scratching my head a bit.

Athena, that flash thing refuses to play. I wonder home come, since I have flahs installed. Perpexing and vexing...
As for the other films on the anyfilms site, i didn't watch those yet, are they worth a look? I played the hell outa the interactive thing, but kinda forgot about the other ones on the site. Perhaps I'll go back and watch them, right after I REinstall flash again.
Grrrrrrr....

Hey. About the best that I could offer you is Adventure quest. Guess what, the only drawback is that you need flash. It has kept me occupied during lunch hour at work. Needless to say, you get bored after a while. I cannot think of anything else offhand. Although you could always go to http://www.rotten.com if you really want to go there. /cringe
