SPOILER:the chief does have a son you must find for a quest, you can find his son behind the demon door HITS.END SPOILER
and if you want to marry her and become mayor, that rumour is fals.
SPOILERyou can onley become mayor of bowerstone END SPOILER.

i really dont see any benefite to being the mayor or bowerstone, only the katana hiryu

Actually, i think you can kill Lady Grey, but it would be smarter to be nice to her so you can get the Solus Greatsword, then kill her to get the gold and become mayor!(at least i think you'll get gold).

Do you perhaps mean the mayor's sister?
If so (spoiler) You can find her (or her corpse, anyway) by going to the Grey House and flashing your lamp 3 times by the stables, somewhere down the path. The doors to the basement will be open then. However, you probably need to have started the TLC quest "Investigate Lady Grey" in order to be able do this.

the only way you can rid oof lady grey is to get a guard to shoot her with a bow an arrow do trouble and stand next to her and time it right and then you will never see her again

not the onley way, you can get some body guards, they can keep there weapons in Bowerstone. so they might atck lady grey, if she atcks you:laugh:
