Been plannin on makin a campaign here as not everyone has time to join on my site and keep up with both GB and mine, so, I'll make the campaign here.
A Walk to Diablerie- A new game of mine for core DND that I plan on making. Heavy on magic, all kinds, but no psionics. Chaotic aligned based, but not limited.
Races not allowed-
Anything of level adjustment +2 or above. Level adjustment 1 and below only. If you take a level adjustment, your level is 1 lower than the given, see below.
Classes not allowed-
Anything other than CORE. Meaning anything from the "Complete" series is not accepted. No psionics.
Non-Useable Books-
Psionics handbook
Heavily influenced books-
Libris Mortis
Lords of Madness
Book of Vile Darkness
Planar Handbook
Level 4th, 5400 gold.
Point Buy- 32 points
Cost/Score
0/8
1/9
2/10
3/11
4/12
5/13
6/14
8/15
10/16
13/17
16/18
Average HP- This means simply you take the half of your hit dice and add a .5 on the end. The .5 alone does nothing, but when another .5 is presented, it stacks together for another hit point.
3 to 6 players...
Me and Ravager are going to be running this campaign together, so you'll see both of us as a DM within this.

I thought I should clarify the above a little, as there may be a few people who miss the meaning of certain things.
While the campaign is magic-based, this doesn't mean anyone's character has to be a spellcaster. You can choose any existing Core class (
http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/classes.htm - choose from the base classes list).
Level adjustment appears in Icewind Dale II, so some people may be familiar with it, it compensates for powerful character races.
Races that are +1 Level Adjustment include Aasimar, Tiefling and Duergar, so those can be played where races such as Drow cannot be.
Equipment-
http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/equipment.htm - look into Armour, Weapons and Adventuring Gear.
Common Equipment (such as bedrolls etc) can be grouped as 'Camping Equipment' at the cost of 20gp.
The point buy system assumes all attributes start at 8. If you want 16 in an attribute, then you would 'pay' 14 of your 32 points to get that. If you've already bought up to 15 and want to increase it to 16 you would only 'pay' 2 extra points.
Hit Dice can be found for your character class on the SRD if you don't already know what your hit dice is (it's the first link I've provided).
To work out your Average HP, you take your full level 1 hitpoints (which is the hit dice plus your Constitution bonus), divide it by two and add 0.5.
Every time you level up your average HP are added to your previous hit point total.
Okay, I think that's all I can say.
Anyone can join the campaign, just post on this thread to register your interest.
And if you need any help in creating a character, just ask. It's no problem.

Umm, actually, it's 10 points for a 16.
Like I said, the cost for points and score are this-
The cost is how many of those 32 points you'll have to spend. The score is what ability score you obtain afterwards.
Cost--Score

2-------10
3-------11
4-------12

)

Two things, one, advertise in your signature. That worked well. Also, post guilt trips in the SF (or SS now) to encourage people like me to help you out .
Of course, advertising in your signature means you should post here, there and everywhere, and you should get a few hits.
Plus, if I remember correctly, krunchyfrog was interested:

@darkwolf: My thoughts exactly

Argh, next we'll see Rav spamming here & there, somewhere then everywhere....without ever finishing our little cave map. Then both our NPC will be trapped there forever....and Kazar went about killing all the birds & squirrels & rabbits in Sterenear
(just kidding, Yepi)

Well, both of you are welcome to join if you want and I think once at least one person joins that may encourage more people to join.
And then if there are more people interested than spaces free...well...we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Yep, I'll have to start posting everywhere again like I used to.
Don't worry, I'll keep up with the Sterwick campaign.

I'll PM Krunchyfrogg about this thread, as he was interested a while ago. I'll PM Soronara and Rio (that is the person, right? I'll check the other thread) to see if they are still interested as well.
I also have Kythras on my contact list...

Thanks, I was considering doing that.
I think it's Sononara.
So do I, but I haven't heard anything from him in months. And when I've tried to talk to him over MSN I get no reply.

Alright, I've PMd Damuna_Nova, Rei, and Sononara about this. I also found this post, which may explain Kythras's position.
I'll PM KrunchyFrogg and ruscavo, and see if either of them are interested. I'll feel a little guilty if all who show up don't get to play, but first come first serve seems fair.
EDIT- Ruscavo and KrunchyFrogg have been notified. All done.

Yeah, that was just before Kyhtras disappeared. If it means he did/is feeling guilty about a reaction but won't talk to anyone on GB about it, there's little that can be done about it.
Thanks for all your efforts Hill, they're much appreciated.

Wow, thanks hill, I owe you one for this.

Don't thank me yet. I don't know if any of them will check their PMs or not, or if they are interested, or if they remember the passwords for their accounts. I just hope that those who do show up are interested, and hopefully have at least a little fun.

Sweetness, that makes 2 players.
Oskatat and Yepi.
All I ask from you yepi right now is what type of character (generally) what you'll be. Take your time with this...
Arcane, Divine, Stealth, or Fighter?

Oh and just a premise to your type of character (good or evil.)
A walk into diablerie-
With the introduction to Incantations, people have lived much better lives as of yet. The new
form of magic is for everyone, as in, anyone can use it. How it works is similar to magic,
a few words, some ingrediants, but unlike magic, it takes two precious things from the body,
a portion of the soul, which can regenerate, but does take a lot, and a portion of there knowledge,
their very strength, prowess, abilities.
(in gaming terms, I'm going to be implementing Mana and XP costs for the incantations)
Some people, however, do not enjoy this type of good hearted, beneficial magic. They created
what is known as Diablerie, which is near the same thing, but it involves negative effects
and sometimes requires a thing called "eqivelant exchange."
Equivelant Exchange is where they must sacrafice something as important as what they are doing.
Meaning, if they want to have someone suddenly have an "accident" with some force that ends
up having that person's arm broke, they must first break there own arm to cast the spell.
This diablerie, though powerful, does have it's limits. One can only take so much at a time,
and takes several weeks to heal. The most common Diablerie users are Bards, rogues, assassins,
and blackguards.
Diablerie is 100% chaotic, and will always be outcast as an evil thing to do, in any situation
whatsoever. Whereas, Incantations are lawful, as they benefit many things. You can argue the
difference between an incantation and a diablerie, but it's all in how you word the incantation.
For instance, "I want money," is obviously a diablerie. However, "If the economy of (insert town name)
would improve and benefit the people in a much better way, in terms of work and their social life, then
by all means, that is what I request," is obviously thinking of others, thus it would probably get the
incantation part.
Simple tricks like "I want money" don't necessarily work all the time either, as with diablerie, you have
to give up something of equal value.
This differentiation in society has caused a lot of tension between towns. Algrandar, a decently prospering
town with good morals, a just guard system, and a stable economy has ruled in favor of incantions and outlawed
diablerie. Whereas, Grandith, a slave trade town, is the opposite, ruling in favor of Diablerie and outlawing
incantions.
(Summarized- Incantations- good, less potent. Diablerie- Evil, more potent but more cost)

tough dicision
I can put off choosing a character a while, since I know most classes a bit. there is one thing I won't play though. I'll never be a cleric (or paladin)

It is totally up to you to be evil or good, so just let me know what you want to be when you decide (in terms of alignment too) so I can start making a plot for you guys.

good vs evil
yepi is having a lot of fun being evil, too much perhaps, but I'm not going to pin him down on it.
I will play either sorcerer, rogue or fighter, I think. Multiclassing allowed I asume? Rogue/Sorcerer is still one of my favorites
