romance?

Without meaning to sound too naive, how do you get your characters to come over all romantic with each other?

There are certain NPC's that will interact romantically with your PC, depending on your PC's gender, of course. If you want more, reply for specific characters (spoiler).

Ivanhoe, you know, you can just reject the characters when they initiate it. Then you will not be pestered for the rest of the game.

I've never (in about three full and multiple partial) games followed the romance paths. Don't want to take the chance of creating more Bhaalspawn!
Actually they just don't interest me. And no, I'm not THAT old!!!

Drakron; I play 'goody-two-shoes'. Or at most Chaotic Good. She doesn't like us much. I only keep Krogan long enough to do his quest and I've never taken Edwin into my party(s) and he just wanders off after I do his quests. (I remember him form BGI and didn't like him much then either).

ok- if a male character ends up with jaheira, who does a female character end up with? i'm not sure if i fancy minsc and his hamster.....!

Might as well reveal the last one, since Jaheira and Viconia have already been mentioned. Male characters can "romance" Jaheira, Viconia, and Aerie, not just Jaheira. Females just get Amoen.

Girls get Amoen
Guys get viconia,jaheira and aerie
There are TREE romaces in my view on the game.and only Two Happy endings.
Viconia-She Truly loves your character but because of Loth sends a Handmaiden she will sacrifice her happiness but ending the Romance.
Amoen-A lot of people complaits about him but he will tell you that he love you and he will Stand by your character even if he will have to go to hell(He does do that in the game)
Jaheira-A long haul this one plus the bugs but a happy ending(of couse on one finds out if the end turns bad)
Aerie-You get to chance to ... how do I put this... *Do her* for the first time in her live But whatever choice you make she will end it.(stupid ending)

If you romance Aerie or Anomen he/she will be taken by Bodhi and turned inot a vampire, you can get her/him back, but it ends the romance, I think...

As long as you get them cured it shouldn't end the romance. it doesn't with Anomen.Although I was tempted to just leave him dead!

Well let me give some insight on they.
Aerie - I dont like the way the romance ends but for all of you Aerie Haters ,hell the wings are THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR A AVARIEL, A AVARIEL WHO LOST HIS WINGS IS PITYED BY ALL AVARIEL. got it now, is no suprise she is always talking about her wings, that is the way all avariels think.
AMOEN - WHAT DID YOU EXPECT FROM A GUY WHO HIS MOTHER DIED AND WAS RAISE BY A DRUKEN FATHER. He is arrogant but that is the way he hides from the world, he only see a side of every question and because of that he is sometimes lost, sometimes he just dont knows what to do and just whats to someone give him the answers to his problems.

You might think I don't read your post, but I do. You've explained a lot I didn't know. If you can't guess I never played PnP before but thanks to you I've even went and download the villain handbook just to understand more.

Drakron, I do understand what you are saying. However, the main character has had the only father they've known (Gorion) killed, their friends ambushed, killed and tortured,and had everyone wanting to use them to solve one problem or the other.Doesn't the main character deserve a little sympathy from good aligned npcs too?Nobody is going to like every npc in the game so try to lighten up on people a little.I think Anomen is an interesting npc but the constant event dialogues;ie the "What is it now?",etc get very very annoying. Sorry for the long post.

Amoen is arrogant and all Npc that join up with you (not jaheira,minsc and imoen of course) dont know your story, Kalid back in BG I said "WHAT..yes.." sometimes, if you play a female character take Amoen if not take Viconia(remenber the reputacion on that one) she is better for a male since Amoen is arrogant towards you, but after he takes the test he became a very diferent person, the "What is it now"(something that sould be fixed but...) stays, but you can shut that thing down of the menu(feedback).
And Jaheira is very suportive to your character by the way.(as a male or a female)
