Ok I have beat the game a few times and for my 3rd try i decided to use a better bow on Jack to make it even easier but enough of that I wanted to get Arkens Crossbow I got the 15 keys right before I did the Rescue Scarlet Robe quest went to DarkWood Lake spent 15 keys got the bow went to guild it auto saved then I world saved and turn the game off. Turned it back on later and I had the bow and the 15 keys I used. So is it a bug or just luck?

You never lose silver keys when you open silver chests. The only way to lose silver keys is to open one of the demon doors in TLC.
