How do I get pass the Umber Hulks? I know I can place the dog stew somewhere to avoid the fight but where and how?

What can I do to avoid stun?

The way I do it is;

Turn off your AI. Make the person with the dog stew invisible. Walk through the room with the Umber Hulks and go down the hallway (first door to the left). At the end of that hall, before it turns, there is a door to your right. Inside there you'll find and area with some dog bones in it. Put the stew in there and then exit that room. Take the turn in the hallway and exit through the second door. Close both doors to the hall and you are home free......

I don't remember, but appeasing the umber hulks is in the walkthrough on this site. I just fought them and kicked their asses. I don't think their's a cure for stun (maybe dispel magic?), but I think umber hulks just confuse you, and not stun you. That, I believe, can be dispelled. As for fighting them, just cast greater malision and then Hold Monster. Should be a piece of cake after that.

requires a bit of hidding.
Do this.
If you have a tieft give him the stew and make him to hide in shadows,a alternaty is give the stew to invisable characer.
Them open the door were are the Hulks and MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, Make sure that the party menbers are out of view, You must move back because the hide in shadows will were off and does so the invisabilaty, so make sure that they dont see you.
Go back in the shadow(or invisabilty) go to the first tunel to the left of the screen there are a lot of cell, the last one lead to a tunel there is a "container" like area, put the stew there AND GO DOWN AND RIGHT until you leave the cells area them just close the doors.
there is no way to escape being stun(if you fail the saving trow) it´s a special attack that all umber hulks posses.

Are you absolutely sure they stun you, Drakron? I remember just being inflicted with confusion, but I could be wrong.

I use Cleric's Sanctuary spell (1st level), so it's Aerie who takes the dog stew. The umber hulks turn hostile, but they cannot do anything about the cleric. Just take the stew, leave it in the cave, then just leave!

After many painful hours of having my arse well and truly kicked i finally got past them by getting them our of the room one by one. very long and tedious but necessary if like me you couldn't figure out where the dog stew was meant to go!
