I'm having a sligt problem: After killing the Tanner in the Bridge District, and taking his letter, I can't see Umar Hills on my overview travel map and hence not go there to get the human skin leather fixed. Have I missed something or am I just bugged?

Any suggestions welcome, thanks in advance!

Was it available before? Have you gotten the Umar hills quest from the little boy?

No, I havent? Perhaps thats what I missed, where do I find this little boy?

I think that particular boy is in the government district, near the green bit.

Or at least, that's what Neb told me...

Umar Hills appeared after I got the Valygar quest from Tolgerias (?) in the Government building.

Devin (the little boy that gives you the Umar Hills quest) is in Waukeen's Promenade. He's standing on the right side of the walls.

"Right side of the walls..." what does this mean? Is he inside or outside the Promenade?

Just noticing the different answers about how to find Delon (the boy from Umar Hills).

In my expereince, he always starts off in the park outside the Council of Six building in the govt district. If you play a ranger or have Minsc in your party, you will probably talk to him first time you go there. Most recent game I put off going there, then Delon shows up in the Docks district. Now I have the ranger stronghold, and have been back to Umar Hills twice to clear up minor emergencies. However, Delon is STILL hanging out in the docks district (near eastern exit) and acts as if I haven't saved his village yet. Some sort of dialog looping, I guess.

Also, sometimes a location will appear on my map but I can't go there straight from Athkatla without stopping at the city gates district. In various instances I have met Jierdan Firkraag or a guy from Trademeet right there by the gates, waiting to give me a quest and update my map.

General note on Delon:

When you don't have a Stronghold quest going yet, you can meet him in the Government district. I'm not sure if there's a trigger for him to appear, but it happens reasonably early in the game. If you do have a Stronghold quest going, he should meet you there, but I think this only counts for Strongholds done WITHIN the city walls. In my first game, this was inside the Temple of Lathander, in the Temple District.

Anyway, when Delon approaches you, he'll first target any ranger in your party, to ask for help. If your main is a ranger, he will talk to you, otherwise to another ranger (in my case, this was Minsc). I think he will talk to the main when no rangers are in the party.

Yes, there's a bug with Delon. For some reason, you can perform the quest, but the flag is not set with the little boy. This means that if you talk to him again AFTER completion of the quest, you'll get the quest again. However, since all the other quest flags have already been set, you can't do the quest a second time, and you are left with an entry in your 'to do' quest log. Quite an oversight on Bioware's side, I'd say.
