Fire and Air elementals: Tips on fighting

Hey,

Can anyone out there give me atip on how to best dispatch these creatures

By the way I am playing a paladin and the Air and Fire Elementals in chapter 3 give me a hard time (lets not even count the large ones)

wear stuff that protects from elements if possible, use paladin spells to buff yourself up, and use potions to increase strength and constitution. then hack away with a weapon that does cold damage (if fire elementals) or the best weapon you have if air elementals. also, if you are in the place looking for the globe thing for the drunk woman in the pub then remember that the fire elementals will keep respawning unless you destroy the two areas on the level where they have their portals (just destroy the pillars)

if you are still struggling, take a henchman like daelan or grimgnaw along as they are really good fighters and will be able to take some of the load off yourself.

If it's possible try to increase your Armour (either by drinking a potion, equipping an item or casting a spell), you could also try using Haste (spells/potions) or anything that increases your Constitution temporarily so you get more hitpoints.

I have an astral blade +1 and a Fire/Mace +1
I have tried using speed potions and bless spells

But the two Fire Elementals (outside od a coffin - a gem is inside the coffin) with a Hell hound are causing me a lot of trouble.

I am trying to get through the game without using any tricks or codes

What weapon/spells do you suggests

if you have any stuff to use, try getting your weapons upgraded by the smithy from chapter 1 (he is in chapter 3 too). you'll probably need better than +1 weapons if you want them to be effective in chapter 3. the astral blade+3 is a very effective weapon ( i use that a lot when i play). good paladin spells are things like holy might etc. and bless/aid. any spells you have that increase attributes, armour class, give protection from elements, and increase the damage you can do work very effective with a melee character like a paladin.
