For those of who didn't know, Scary Movie 4 is coming out April 14th, everywhere. The official page isn't finished yet, but should be sometime soon, hopefully, so this'll have to do. From the pictures I've seen (mostly of the cover) The Grudge, War of the Worlds and Saw are the movies they are mostly basing this one off of.
I'll be back tomorrow with the three pics I've seen so far.

I loved the first one. The second was okay - but the third was downright lousy.
"They" totally "gimped" it to be incredible more political correct, it was tame compared to the first two.
I hope the fourth will be a step up, but I'm 95% proberly going to view it when it comes on DVD in Denmark, because I'm a sucker for spoofs

In the beginning I can understand why it was called Scary Movie, because of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. But now doing parodies on Blockbuster hits seems like it should be titled differently or just stop doing Scary Movies all together. IMO back when it first started it was making fun of a movie fad, teenage horror flicks, now it seems as though that genre is dieing down or less popular. I don't think X-men, Spider-Man, and Matrix are Scary Movies, but certainly parodies of these movies would be or could be funny.

Scary Movie was indeed named as it was to spoof off the "I know what you screamed at last summer"

D) and it was horrible movies but an excellet Spoof.
Later SM2 used the Haunting and what thoese movies were called and SM3 was The Ring and Signs, but also branched far into other genre... amongst other the most wonderfull scene in entier SM3 was the 8-Mile spoof. I still laugh at that one.
So now Scary Movie is more a "lable" then actually telling the audience what to expect. Scary Movie is this generations Spy Hard and Hot Shots, along side a couple of like the "Not another teen movie", which spoofs teen-highschool comedies really well - imo (She's All that, 10 things, Can't Hardly Wait and all thoese what'ya'ma call them)
So in my opinion it makes excellent sense to use the Scary Movie lable for a SM4 even if it spoofs Spiderman, X-men and the rest of the marvel/cartoon stuff, because Scary Movie is just synonomes with spoofing what is "current", and one got to admit that these (marvel) comics are being mass produced at the moment ... with more or less of a decent result (movie quality wise and not economical wise, because slap marvel on anything and you have a huge following up front which will guarentee income fast).

Just as a side note, the makers (well, two of the six) are going off anf spoofing more movies, they are coming out with Date Movie this summer, I must say the previews look hilarious.
I have yet to see SM1 or 3 but 2 was pretty funny, im hoping four will bring the series some respect, after all that ive heard regarding tyhe quality of SM3...

Anyone who wants to watch the trailer can visit the site and watch it.
I don't like that they're doing War of the Worlds... that movie was pretty much only wide spread death, but hopefully, they find a way to make it funny. Oprah doesn't look all that great either...
However..."I've taken balls to the face before."
