you can't get to lvl 50. There's an exp cap. The max lvl you can reach depends on your class but i think it was lvl 23 or smth

I think darktroll DOES mean the levels beyond the cap, but sorry nowhere found this. If you used the remover, look up the new *.2da files in the override directory. There's some information in these files.

I have 30th level necromancer and i don't see any major differences .Lore and hit points increase and thaco does not change .
No spell bonus aswell but i get damage bonuses in damage/per level spells and i can stop the time for a little longer .

There are two "hacks" - simple XP cap remover doesn't apply rules properly to higher levels. There is a level 50 rules override though - find it at baldurdash.com

A nice person in Czechoslovakia was kind enough to (illegally?) place the Player's handbook on the web. Check it out at
http://pjotr.kgb.cz/knihy/dmg/dmgtc.htm

This may help answer some of your questions regarding level progression, etc.

So how long, or many times, do you have to play the game in order to reach level 30, 40 or 50??? 10, 100, 1000??? Ball-park figures will help.

Off topic - Where do you sell your stuff right after you escape the Asylum. Currently I am in Vulgar Monkey, but neither the inn keeper nor its patrons sell/buy any items? (Hope someone read this...)

The Underdark, there are people there that buy and sell things.
