V1.4 German to V1.4 English Question

I'm running the german 1.4 conversion at the moment. Do I need to uninstall everything and then repatch all prior versions and then download the English 1.4, or will E 1.4 overwrite G 1.4 directly? Now don't laugh, I'm on dial-up, so it takes forever and a day to download patches. The fewer I have to do the better! :)

Thanks muchly,
Meow

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you can patch the 1.4 mod directly over the 1.4 German..I downloaded the german first, then the 1.4 mod after that and it worked fine.

No. It won't work right. The English soundfiles and the German soundfiles are named differently. If you patch the German to English 1.4x mod with the English 1.4 patch and get it to work, you won't have any sound.

My suggestion would be to uninstall Dungeon Lords, re-install Dungeon Lords, patch up to 1.3 English and then patch to 1.4 English.

That way all the files will be correct and correctly named.

I played german to english 1.4 and then used the 1.4 English Patch and I still have sound in my game, am I okay then? (Don't have to do anything else)

One thing, if I keep my save files and uninstall the game, and then install DL, then patch 1.3, then 1.4 and put my save files in the game, will I be okay?

If I'm hearing sound though, everything should be good with my game right? Or should I reinstall to make sure?
