Problem w/ landing on Dant

I can't seem to get the game to stop crashing when I try to land on Dant after escaping Taris and killing the Sith fighters. I restarted my computer, then DL'd the patch, then tried again, then restarted...and so now I'm gonna see if it worked. But I doubt it. Any help? Oh, and I can get to the landing on Dantooine part, but then it freezes/crashes.

Edit: Okay, so once I'm past the scene of my 'toon talking with Bastila and what's-his-face on the Ebon Hawk, then the landing load for the cinematic goes fine, and then once it finishes loading the next sequence, it freezes, and I get this darn error message. This is really starting to bug me

Start by doing a search in this forum on Dantooine, and settle back for a good, long read. Bioware never did fix the visual bugs associated with that planet. We must have more than a dozen possible solutions suggested by players in our database, though none of them work for everybody. Hopefully, one of them will work for you.

If they don't, give us the tech specs of your computer here, and I'll move this thread over to our Tech Support forum. And I'll leave a redirect, so you can still get answers here--two forums for the price of one. ;)

Okay, thanks! I'll do that. :) I tried cleaning the disc..maybe, just maybe, that'll do something. :D

By the way, my computer isn't at minimum req's, but has run the game fine except for a couple bugs fixed with the patch.

Edit: Maybe I'll get outa there and...do more quests...wait, no, that won't work 'cause the Sith are bombing the city. Arf!

Edit2: Okay, so I just ended up installing it on a less-cluttered, faster computer with more RAM and all around performance. Hopefully I won't run into that problem again once I'm to Dantooine. :)

Try going into your graphics and disabling "grass" for that planet. Do this in the start screen before you load your game. You may want to set your graphics at a minimum anyway to be sure.
