Hello everybody, i need some help here with my KotOR...

to say the truth, i need two things:

- I've tried, and tried again, but i just cant do anything to my character simply "Walk"... How can i do this? I tried to look in the keyboard configuration, and just cant find... a friend said its the patch version, but is updated (1.03)...

- The other thing (less importante, but still a problem): the words in main menu doesnt appear! Like: New Game, Load/save game... its blank in those boxes... is there anything i can do to fix those bugs? (if it is a bug of course)...

Well, i hope i didnt made a already existant topic... Just some answers i need...

Thank you guys! And may the force be with you all.. :)

As far as the walk thing goes, you have my sympathies. I had the same problem. I hated my character running around everywhere out of control.

I'm not sure whether you are saying you upgraded to the latest patch or not. If not, try installing the latest patch first. I had multiple problems with the game after installation (including the run/walk thing), so I installed a patch. After that I could assign a button for walking.

Also, you need to hold the walk key down the whole time you want to walk. It's not a toggle. You can't tap it once and have your character start walking, tap it again and he runs. You run by default and to walk you need to hold the walk key. Lame, but that's how they implemented it.

Good Luck.

you can walk by tapping "W" repeatedly. it gets a lil tiresome...

and as for the word problem... i had the same issue when i first installed it too. so my sugesstion to you is check and see if you computer meets up with the game requirements. Like does it have enough memory, is the graphic card up to date... you know those kinds of trivial things. the problem with mine was that the graphics card i had was a piece of crap. i just went out a bought a new one and - bam - works perfectly now. so other then that i dont know how else to help you out. Oh, if you dont know how to see if your game meets the requirements or not, then just click on the icon and when the very first menu pops up, instead of hitting "game" click "configure"

check your drivers are up to date on your graphics card too - something as simple as that can often solve a lot of graphics problems.
