I have the Sword of Fire, or whatever, from the hall of weaponry. I went to the Vale of Ruin and then to the location where the alter is supposed to be. I can see the alter on my map, but when I go to the location, its just not there. I wandered around for a while trying to see if something registered to interact with, but nothing did. I know I'm in the right location, I checked the walkthrough.

Is there some secret here? Or, is it a bug of some kind?

Please help me if you can.

BTW I was able to equip the sword as my primary weapon with some of my light weapons. I am a Marauder at this point. The sword is a medium weapon. Are either of the duel weapon stills still bugged? Or is it something special about that weapon?

PS I didn't do any hacking or alteration of the game and I'm playing 1.5.

There's a bug, of course. Their map shows the altar in the wrong place. We have it in the right place in the walkthrough.

As for dual wielding, the skills only control what weapons you can use in your off hand.

Thanks for the info. SWC. It was one vale north of what the auto map showed.

OK, I found that I could equip any medium weapon I had with light duel, but I could only use some light weapons in the offhand. The scepter of storms would only equip as a main hand weapon, so I couldn't use it with a medium weapon. It's only a lght weapon, so this is something else I don't understand.

It's fairly arbitrary what weapons work and don't work for dual wielding.

With 1.4 and 1.5 CE you can dual wield any light weapon in your off hand with light dual weapons or any medium weapon with medium dual weapons except the scepters that have a ranged magic charge. I was really looking forward to using the scepter of storms and the scepter of shadows at the same time but it was not to be. D
