V1.4 Patch problem

okay, i downloaded the patch from 2 different sites and when i go to install it, nothing happens, whats wrong? Are these falty patches? can i get a site with a patch that works? THX!

Are you sure that you're downloading the correct version for your game? There are at least two versions that I'm aware of. One upgrades v1.3 to 1.4 and another for 1.0 to 1.4.

The first time I used the patch and I thought it worked, although when I started the game, it still said v1.3.
If you have installed you game to another place other than the default (C:\dreamcatcher, the patch apparently will not find your game to update. I had my installation under c:\program files\dreamcatcher, and it did not find it.
I reinstalled to the default location, and the patch worked fine.

I have the french version
My problem is that I have the french version of DL, so I realy want to know if
they will make a french 1.4? and if they will, when it will be releast?

If you have the French version of the game, then check your documentation to see who the French publisher is. They're the ones who would know if there's going to be a French 1.4 patch.

1.4 Patch problem...
I have a similar problem installing the patch.
Current game location:
C:\Program Files\Dreamcatcher\Dungeon Lords
I install the patch, it appears to install correctly, and then I open the game and it still says version 1.3 in the lower left corner of the screen. I'm attempting to use the Save Game Editor by Steve2d from this thread:

The save game editor fails because it detects an incompatible version (it requires 1.4 or CE 1.5 to run), so apparently my game is not being properly patched. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

The 1.3 to 1.4 patch is 109 mb (you MUST already have 1.3 game). The 1.0 to 1.4 patch is 139 mb. Obviously, the larger patch is for all versions; 1.0, 1.2, and 1.3.

Should I be looking for a 109MB patch? And if so, where should I be looking for it? Should I try and use the 1.0 to 1.4 patch (98MB)? Once again, thanks for your help on this.

If the 1.3 to 1.4 does not work uninstall and do the 1.0. to 1.4, proabably your best bet, backup your saves.

Thank you Acleacius, the patch I downloaded from dungeonlordsgame.com was obviously the wrong patch as it was only 30MB. The 100MB version worked great. Thanks again.
